Kevin is not exaggerating, VDARE was not white nationalist in the sense of "well if you get right down to it the modern GOP has always been white nationalist" VDARE was white nationalist in the sense of "yeah those Nazis sure are white nationalist"

I haven't said a lot about the personal side of CCCCs being killed by @ncte.org, but I wanted to say a few things. --In grad school, we trained to write proposals on 4Cs applications. --My interview for MIT was at 4Cs. --I was returning this year to 4Cs for the first time post-pandemic.
Those of us with doctorates in millennia old fields are having a real moment.

Email and request refunds: customer-service@ncte.org #NCTE I can’t this weekend. But I’ll develop my email and do it first thing and then I’ll share folks who allow me to share their refund requests and we’ll divest.
I will never choose to affiliate with @ncte.org, given the absolutely disgraceful way they have chosen to dissolve CCCC, a 70+ year organization central to the discipline of writing and literacy studies. I am so disappointed in the NCTE leadership. May they come to view their actions with horror.
What an unceremonious end to CCCC, a key part of my professional career for almost 20 years. Goodbye, @ncte.org. I expect I speak for hundreds and maybe thousands of college writing instructors in saying we’ll find or make our way via other organizations.
The @ncte.org is a dead organization as far as I'm concerned. Worthless to those in higher ed and writing.
I'm not reactivating my FB account to follow the news, but apparently some at NCTE might dissolve CCCC....in the middle of summer. I don't always agree w/CCCC, but it's undeniable we need a strong national organization devoted to college writing instruction. CCCC has been that since the late '40s.
