Here's an old little animation I was working on with Gabette and Katta! I stopped working on it since at the time this was on my old laptop and the Krita file was getting so big it started to really slow down and occasionally crash so I left it as is.
There was def some point where I realized I was a woman and took a year or two to warm up to doing it but a lot of it is not knowing until you know. It’s just like any form of denial. That’s why corruption arcs are so hot. Coming to terms with something you thought you didn’t want.
the first issue of Gendertrash from Hell used the phrases "in the pit" and "climbing out of the pit" for our pre-transition experiences and i honestly think we lost a lot letting go of such visceral language
Anyway the independence movements of Wales and Scotland have my support because I know what solidarity means and no interest in engaging with the astrology of national identity
