Rad Venture might be a collectathon, but we do take a lot of inspiration from the Sonic series in terms of tone and style The game's NPCs and hub world (Vistabell) are inspired by Sonic Unleashed! Also, here's a couple animations that are references to the amazing sprite work of Sonic Advance 2!

Just so y'all know (because we use Unreal Engine 5), fuck Epic Games, UE6, and gen ai. We will NEVER use gen ai in the production of Rad Venture or any future projects. Gen ai is a tool of fascism. Game devs who use gen ai in any capacity should be shamed and ostracized. Have a Rad screenshot

Btw, the story and script have been completed for some time now and we've been working on the storyboards for a while, too! Finally excited to get some cutscenes and voice acting work done soon!

For people who think that AI is inevitable or worry it is, I made starter packs of game devs refusing to use AI, and in less than 24 hours had more than 200 devs ask to be included. Creatives don't want this and won't use it. You just need to support those who won't use it.
