Mother Jones reporters spoke to several people who knew David Brouillette, the ICE agent who reportedly shot and killed a man last week in Maine. They paint a picture of someone who is explosive, aggressive, and capable of violence.

Ashley Brouillette said one of her last interactions with her ex-husband was a three-minute voicemail in which David told her that someone should slit her and her daughters’ throats. Last week, she was asked if she recognized her David among the ICE agents after a fatal shooting in Maine. She did.
