The debate over the "demise of multilateralism" often treats these flexible coalitions as evidence that international order is unravelling. @stephofmann.bsky.social @anaprokhorov.bsky.social and I did some archival digging and found that AHCs have always been part of the global governance toolkit.

Had such a great and productive time with these amazing people in Rapallo for the Exploratory Symposia @europeanisa.bsky.social ! Perhaps we’re smiling too much for discussing the Far-Right in International Politics, but how can you blame us considering our project’s progresses and that view!

Happy to have contributed a piece on the far right to the anniversary report of the Karlspreis. The impact of the far right does not only depend on seats or government participation. Their success erodes support for international collaboration because other parties accommodate and legitimize them.
