Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer (2002) how the did they get the water to look like that, this is incredible I don't mean the reflections, look at the shape of the wave as it moves, the lighting, the glow.. This and the game loop are **amazing** and needs to be studied This is lost technology oh my god

If you're even a _tiny_ bit into security and privacy, pay attention to this one. A court filing in a case against cyberhacker Peter Stokes revealed Microsoft's GDID embedded in EVERY Win11 install provided the FBI the ability to trace his PC across VPNs(!!) & proxies(!!) across three countries.

Microsoft admits Windows 11 has a GDID tracker with no off switch, first documented publicly in an FBI hacker complaint

GDID is the persistent Windows ID that helped FBI trace a Scattered Spider hacker despite VPNs. Here's how it works and how to limit it.

Finally put the crew hanging on the sides of this Venom a few months after being done with the rest of it. Wych stuff don't excite me the way the rest of the drukhari range does so just going for standard cult of strife colours unlike the custom schemes for most of my army

Today we have something special: a newly translated interview from July 1996 between Shigeru Miyamoto and Kenji Eno! Conducted just weeks after the launch of Mario 64, Eno takes Miyamoto to task (in a friendly way) with several fascinating critiques of its design. shmuplations.com/miyamotoxeno/

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

🚨 #ChatControl 1.0 HAS PASSED - despite a majority voting against it (314:276) 🚨 After the EU parliament has rejected #ChatControl TWICE in the past, it has been pushed as an urgent procedure for a new plenary vote. TODAY the EU parliament has voted YES for #ChatControl 1.0😡

Parliament President Roberta Metsola (EPP) who revived Chat Control 1.0 shaking hands with Mark Zuckerberg.

Microsoft offered a service, which included a bunch of games that people could play the way they wished. Tens of millions of Xbox players agreed, and paid real money for access. Now, because a bunch of consumers played the game "for free" id had to be gutted? No. This is unacceptable framing.

I see I need to make a clearer point. Framing things this way puts the blame on the consumer - the consumer that spends hundreds of millions of dollars on subs every month - as though it is their fault for freeloading. But is it the consumer's fault that the model was built the way it was? No.

Whoa. I didn't know Xbox Game Pass was free. Weird. What is this. "The problem with it was that (DOOM: The Dark Ages) was played by millions of fans, but many played it for free on Game Pass."
