Today, LRV1117 made the first trip from Kichi Zibi, all the way to Algonquin Station. This marks a major milestone and achievement on the West extension. This LRV will next begin testing all systems and components on the alignment. Congratulations to all the teams involved today. @octranspo.com

O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: Over the last 7 days, 53 unique trains were observed, equal to 85.5% of the full tracked fleet. Over the last 30 days, 56 unique trains were observed. 8 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and 9 trains returned to service this week after long absences.

O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: Over the last 30 days, *48* unique trains were observed. 15 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and *7* trains returned to service this week after long absences. Over the last 7 days, 43 unique trains were observed, equal to 69.4% of the full tracked fleet.

The Pathway to Opening Stage 2 East is alive! We are seeing lots of Spirit from those LRVs (pun intended). 7 LRVs have returned to service in the last 7 days. 30 Day rolling total is now 45 trains (7 day total is at 42).

UPDATE: Place d’Orléans Station. At the start of service on Monday, July 27, the temporary staircase between the pedestrian bridge and the bus platforms will be removed. Customers will be able to access the bus platforms from the new Place d'Orléans Station building using the stairs or elevator.

Why Stage 2 East Isn't Open Yet: The Story Behind the Delay. youtu.be/zWmpskm3a6U If you've been wondering why the extension still isn't carrying passengers despite looking complete, this video explains where the project stands today and what needs to happen next.

Over the last 7 days, 38 unique trains were observed, representing a full tracked fleet visibility of 61.3%. 24 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days. Stage 2 East to Orleans: Estimated to reach target of 54 trains for Trial Running: Sep 2, 2026, assuming current conditions continue.

RTM has completed an assessment of the damage discovered during an overnight inspection and determined that trains can safely operate on both tracks between uOttawa and Hurdman stations at a reduced speed. Repairs will be completed later tonight, after service ends for the day.

⚠️ O-Train Line 1 is operating every 8 minutes today after overnight damage to the overhead catenary east of uOttawa Station. Trains are using westbound platforms only at uOttawa, Lees and Hurdman. Enhanced E1 and morning R1 bus service is available while repairs are assessed.
