Today, LRV1117 made the first trip from Kichi Zibi, all the way to Algonquin Station. This marks a major milestone and achievement on the West extension. This LRV will next begin testing all systems and components on the alignment. Congratulations to all the teams involved today. @octranspo.com

O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: Over the last 7 days, 53 unique trains were observed, equal to 85.5% of the full tracked fleet. Over the last 30 days, 56 unique trains were observed. 8 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and 9 trains returned to service this week after long absences.

The unfortunate state of St-Laurent station requiring a necessary shutdown to repair (possibly in 2028). This is tunnel repair work that should have been completed prior to the system first opening, when the service impact would have been zero... www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The Pathway to Opening Stage 2 East is alive! We are seeing lots of Spirit from those LRVs (pun intended). 7 LRVs have returned to service in the last 7 days. 30 Day rolling total is now 45 trains (7 day total is at 42).

UPDATE: Place d’Orléans Station. At the start of service on Monday, July 27, the temporary staircase between the pedestrian bridge and the bus platforms will be removed. Customers will be able to access the bus platforms from the new Place d'Orléans Station building using the stairs or elevator.

Today's REM breakdown is deeply concerning. According to CTV, passengers were trapped on a stalled train for nearly 90 minutes on a hot summer afternoon with no air conditioning. People became dizzy, and one passenger reportedly fainted. www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/art...

O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: Over the last 7 days, 39 unique trains were observed, giving a fleet visibility of 62.9% for full tracked fleet. Over the last 30 days, 41 unique trains were observed. 22 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and 3 trains were observed back in service this week.

This morning, LRVs 1105 and 1110 have returned to service (absent since January). This brings our 7 day rolling total to 39, and our 30 day rolling total to 40 (the first increase in 17 days). tracker.railfans.ca

Over the last 7 days (and now also the last 30 days), 37 unique trains were observed, representing a full tracked fleet visibility of 59.7%. 25 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days. NEW THIS WEEK: The Pathway to Opening - Stage 2 East to Orleans: 37/54 needed trains available.

RTM has completed an assessment of the damage discovered during an overnight inspection and determined that trains can safely operate on both tracks between uOttawa and Hurdman stations at a reduced speed. Repairs will be completed later tonight, after service ends for the day.

Update as per OC Transpo. ➡️All platforms at uOttawa, Lees, and Hurdman are now open. ➡️Trains are running more slowly between uOttawa and Hurdman stations for now.
