It was a strange feeling — to not be in pain.
Baffled, he sat up completely and swung his legs out of the bed.

And then he felt it.

A lingering warmth in his lower dantian.

...He suddenly felt like he needed to meditate.
The urge was much too strong to ignore. He didn't bother to get up from bed. Instead, he crossed his legs right where he sat, closed his eyes, and entered a tangible state of meditation. He focused all his attention and energy into circulating the qi in his body, in the same way he had for so many years now.

...and so he didn't notice that another person had quietly re-entered his room at some point."

With a slightly teasing tone, Wei Wuxian sighed, "Er-gege, don't be mean to me, you know what you did! Should I spell it out for you?

You ruined me! You took me so roughly and made me beg for mercy? If I didn't control myself, the entirety of Lotus Pier would have heard me crying your name~"

Lan Wangji's expression turned incredulous. "Wei Ying!"

Seeing this reaction, Wei Wuxian threw his head back and full-bellied laughed.

He hadn't laughed this hard in a long time."
