Carney stans tout Carney's frequent jet setting on trade missions, but they're not about soft power at all. Soft power grows from generosity to the vulnerable. Carney reserves all his generosity for the investor class. Comparatively, the world's poor might as well be NPCs. 24/ shrlnk.ca/s/mKWdKOng

Are foreign investors coming to build Canada, or just buy it?

Parsing through the finer details in the Carney government's investment playbook, it is becoming increasingly clear that there is little distinction, or preference, for investment that builds.

Since lecturing from afar on human rights is ineffective, we just won't attempt to promote human rights at all. Let's let foreign oligarchs buy & control our public assets. No more "Canada the good." Instead, we'll try "Canada for sale." UAE can invest! 23/ canadiandimension.com/articles/vie...

1/ Canadians should be able to trust that public ads from our government are accurate. But this summer, the Liberals rolled out ads to mislead Canadians about their climate record.

Competition Bureau should investigate government for ‘greenwashing’ : NDPAs Canadians watch their communities burn, the Carney government is spending millions of tax dollars to mislead them.
That’s deceptive marketing and it’s against the law.
Taxpayer-funded advertising should never be used to spread misinformation.

Sophie Cunningham was booed during last night’s WNBA game in Toronto. I think that’s a good thing. Cunningham is enjoying a right-wing media machine that’s embracing her. If this is the reward for engaging in hate, what’s the deterrent? Social consequences -- like booing:
