Assembly of States Parties concludes its special session on disciplinary proceedings involving an elected official

The Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court ("the Assembly") held a special session on disciplinary proceedings involving an elected official on 24 July 2026 at United Nations Headquarters in New York.The Assembly adopted a decision, by secret ballot, by an absolute majority of 82 States Parties, finding that Mr. Karim Khan committed serious misconduct and serious breach of duty and removed him from office under article 46 of the Rome Statute.The Presidency of the Assembly continues to call for due respect for the privacy and the rights of all parties concerned.Further information about the special session can be found at the website of the Assembly.The Assembly of States Parties is the management oversight and legislative body of the ICC. It is comprised of representatives of States that have ratified and acceded to the Rome Statute. ok ich hab grad mit der Begründung eine Absage für eine Podcast-Einladung bekommen, dass 2026 keine Termine mehr frei seien. Also entweder die Person ist die beschäftigtste der Welt oder man wollte mir nicht offen sagen, dass mein Podcast viel zu irrelevant ist, um vorbeizuschauen.
