Spent all day sorting comics yesterday while I move and found some finished and mostly finished sketch covers i had done to sell at a con that I completely forgot about. Smh.
Sorting through some old papers during this move and came across this very rare @coelacanthkiss.bsky.social drawing of roman reigns doing battle with seth rollins. Wow. To think they're still fighting to this very day.

I'm moving and somehow misplaced one fairly recent issue of my run of jacobin magazines and it may drive me insane until I find it.
It's so cool to learn that while rob liefeld had a small role in a work for hire capacity in the creation of cable, it was the legendary artist jim lee who breathed life into the character by making him the son of Cyclops and Madeleine Pryor which made him an enduring figure rather than a footnote.

I'm happy to say that after deep reflection and a brief skimming of all the available think pieces, in have absolutely nothing to apologize for re: the charity and sylvia controversy. I stand by everything I said and I continue to think that drawn and quarterly should be razed to the ground.
I'll be honest this doesn't change my feelings about the character Gregory House, who was depicted in the show as a raging transphobe before his time.

If only there were a group of people in place, maybe at the ground level, who could suggest to the people at the top that this isnt a good look and will reflect poorly on everyone involved. People who work for image but maybe arent strictly thinking about personal relationships/financial incentives.

when a guy who gets accused of the sort of shit warren ellis was credibly accused of wants to make a comic again I feel like that's fine. Self expression is okay even for creeps. I just dont understand why anyone else would choose to work with him/boost his name knowing what he did.

I think it's sad that Sluggo and Nancy are in a toxic relationship, have been for years, and people just sit back and laugh at it. Nothing about Nancy's lack of trust and gaslighting of poor innocent Sluggo is funny.
