Mat Brunet (AniMat)@matbrunetvo.com · 2mo agoThis month will not only be different with my channel, but also could get controversial. I'm starting a new 4-part mini-series that will discuss about the many problems with the cartoon community and fandoms in general. The first part is now available on my Patreon www.patreon.com/AniMat/posts...
to those in the back don't watch it, talk about it, review it, etc don't give this show your time and attention period.
Sean T. Collins@seantcollins.com · 2mo agoThe push for Harry Potter the TV show is going to be completely enormous—they're debuting it on fucking Christmas—and it is the responsibility of TV critics to contextualize this as rewarding the world's most transphobic billionaire (which is saying something) in everything we write about it.
@agramuglia.bsky.social out of curiosity with the new avatar seven havens show coming out soon do you think you'll do a video talking about avatar in general.

this has always been the case with fandoms where they feel a sense of entitlement where they want a piece of media to go the way they want it and feel they're owed by creator of said media it's that comic book fan from the Simpsons saying as a loyal fan i feel that they owe me.
Johanna T 👻 📚@johannamation.bsky.social · 5mo agoEliza McLamb had an apt analogy abt modern fandoms: Fans no longer treat creators as creators. Fans treat creators like stock options they’ve invested in; like they’re part owners of a creator’s work just by *being fans*, and therefore get a say in what creators make/how they act. And it sucks.
I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.
@agramuglia.bsky.social oh man what jessie said about the dark knight rises makes me agree with you more about how these movies ruined the image of both batman and the joker and did more harm than good.
@agramuglia.bsky.social since jessie brought up shield in her video do you think you'll ever do talk about how shield is portrayed in the comics compared to the mcu like you did with your black suit video.

"Ooh, a cinnamon roll!" "Your secret's safe with us, Justin." "It's really a love letter to Pink Floyd!" "We sincerely regret you feel that way."
@agramuglia.bsky.social wishing you a merry Christmas.
@agramuglia.bsky.social an interesting essay i feel you should do is how superhero teams barely feel like a thing and how they'll only team up on occasion and instead of staying together as team like the avengers in a similar you did with your super villian video.
