Turning research into policy and practice is one of the hardest parts of our job. At the Global Learning Event 2026 in Birmingham, we traded ideas with practitioners worldwide on building resilience in a multi-hazard world, with equity and justice kept at the centre. What the effect of perceived social protection mechanisms on changes in adaptive capacity? Drawing on rich survey data by the @zcralliance.bsky.social, results show that perceived access to government/NGO aid is positive for communities with lower levels of adaptive capacity. @egu.eu @iiasa.ac.at
