The official trailer for ‘The Saga of Rex’ has been released. The indie hand-drawn feature was solo-animated by Michel Gagné over the course of 14 years. Releasing in 2027.

Actually remembered some of my tactics fighting game character designs I was working on years ago (2021) and they’re still some of my favorite character designs. It was fun also challenging myself to base the style off of my favorite Harvest Moon game (Tree of Tranquility/Animal Parade) #art

Chibi style design of a humanized unicorn spear warrior. Purple hair that’s cropped spiky up top and long in the back in a ponytail esque style. Ruffled skirt either a pink overlay, classic knight sleeves and a golden breastplate, shoulder and arm pads on top.Character designs for a playable wizard girl, brown skin with dark hair that’s cropped short but with one longer braid on the left hand side. Her first cape is school uniform inspired with her elevated outfit more classic wizard cape and a third elegant party design with poofy sleeves and a colorful silk belt/wrap.

Love keeping up to date on the new Richard Gere age-gap movie via all the Instagram post of people being mad that it exists. Lot of claims how this is a continuation of Hollywood over representing older men romances for predatory reasons but this Gere movie is based of a book written by a woman, so

🔞[[rent lowering gun shots]] breaking this one outta patreon jail. Tess keeping Raf good company [and outta his own head] while Margie is away.

Replaying FE Awakening and I do truly think the stylization of the lower poly semi-chibified characters is 100% better than the bigger to scale higher rendered models of newer games (or even the cutscenes in this game). They’re so charming!!! I love to watch them run around and do the little battles

Gee I hate how ambiguous it is when bad people do bad things in my morality play about bad people being punished for doing bad things 🙄 (a snippet from a review of a production of Dangerous Liaisons).

Incredibly cruel that as far as I’ve been able to watch, none of Lesley Manville’s recorded work has any actual girl kissing in it but I have to live with the knowledge of knowing about the decades old play where she played a lesbian suffragette that I’LL NEVER GET TO SEE 😫

The only thing that keeps me sane whenever I have to think about the ice sisters franchise continuing is to imagine an AU where they actually fulfill on the promise their inability to depict the two of them as actual realistic sisters implies. #art

Sketches of my Frozen Elsa/Anna age-gap AU. Left to right, Anna dramatically reaching for Elsa’s face while they both cry. Anna protectively raising an arm over Elsa, glaring defiantly at unseen people who might mean her harm. A more rendered colored drawing of Elsa, pale eyelashes in a blue dress with a high collared undershirt covering more skin. Young Anna sitting uncomfortably close to older Elsa, their faces close together, making Elsa nervous. Anna notably is missing two fingers on her hand and has prosthetic wooden ones.

I feel the need to push back a little on a common sentiment I hear often that “That [actor] is in everything!” And “I’m sick of seeing the same actors in everything!” Cause I don’t actually think GOOD actors getting a lot of roles and being popular to work with is a bad thing-

Apparently Big Walk considers MILF to be a bad word that needs to be censored so my sister asked why our save file that I created was called, what she presumed, Fuck Island. This is both 30 Rock censorship and misogyny lol

out it goes: my long post about Rachel Hope Cleves's claim that Tillie Walden plagiarised her book. It's long because Cleves's claim is much, much more bizarre than it looked on first reading. I'm not going to bury the lede here. Cleves's claim does not hold up. buttondown.com/thene/archiv...

stick a pin in this metaphor

…because these covers are a microcosm of the entire conflict; Walden's book is mostly built on writing and other objects left by Sylvia Drake, Charity Bryant, and others. Her work includes many elements from these records that Cleves does not refer to in her book, and many of her interpretations of those records are different from Cleves's interpretations, often intentionally so. In addition to her historical basis, Walden's book includes fictional dialogue and story elements that are original to her work, some of which are inspired by Walden's own life.

i am working on a very, very long blog post that could really have fit into a skeet: When someone posts that "this website/journal article/etc proves my dramatic claim!!!" and then does not link to the website, journal article, etc, it is because it does not in fact prove their dramatic claim.
