it should be mentioned that the 2014 status quo for trans people still meant that we had suicide risks, unemployment numbers, life expectancy, poverty risk that were way worse than the average person, and somehow asking for this is seen as frivolous luxury and purity testing

I haven't seen any recent stories in which Massachusetts police claimed to have solved serious crimes using license-plate readers that they otherwise wouldn't have solved. It appears the primary purpose of these cameras is stalking women.

Another strong argument for robust independent oversight of the police as a precondition of deploying body worn cameras.

Another #Massachusetts cop was allegedly caught tracking his ex-girlfriend using #Flock cameras. That brings us to eight cops in the state accused of misusing them in recent months. In all the cases where details have been released, the cameras were allegedly used to track women.

We don't live in slop world because of AI, we live in slop world because the purpose of everything is to generate a return on investment for capital. We evaluate everything along metrics designed to serve that purpose over any other. AI is just the best way we found of optimizing for these metrics.

LOOK AT THIS FUCKING SHIT. The easiest way to tell that trans women are women is that the right is so desperate to control what they do with their bodies. WE HAVE EVERYTHING IN COMMON.

One thing I noticed is that rank-and-file Dems will punish anti-trans positions in Dem primaries (Moulton in MA, Vindman in FL), but there are also Dems who are hiding anti-trans positions until after the primary (Talarico, Kaptur). Is there a memo circulating w/ Dems to account for this?
