Saw a report on the news about this week’s eclipse, and it suggested watching it with a colander. But won’t that strain your eyes?
For thousands of years, a solar eclipse has been a prophetic harbinger of a spectacular, epoch-making event. Just saying. #VoteBinface #Clacton
When the eclipse happens we should all raise a glass to Bonnie Tyler.

I had cause to check my spam folder on Facebook Messenger earlier, not been in for years (not since a random man tried to sell me a bed that he insisted had belonged to Diana Dors). I noticed I’d been added to a group chat three years ago for a school reunion as it was 30 years since we left. (1/2)
Watched The Housemaid for the Fatal Attractions podcast. Pleasing amount of sex and nudity considering these modern times of erotic austerity.
The pure wonder of a small toddler who sits right down on the cobblestone square in absolute fascination, listening to Renata Garro perform in Valencia, Spain. Brazilian violinist Renata Garro often performs outdoors in Valencia wearing whimsical fairy-like attire. #streetmusic #violin #fun
I think this is the worst joke I’ve ever posted, and there’s plenty of other candidates. I’m so sorry.
I forgot my email password earlier. I tried ‘footloose’ and ‘danger zone’ but then a message popped up saying I’d tried too many Kenny Loggins.

Other 10% is some bloke who takes those old photos and ‘enhances’ them with AI, then asks for money to fund his ‘art’.
Local Facebook is 90% photos of a cesspit from 1974 with seventy comments bemoaning how much nicer it was before they turned it into a cycle path.
Sad news. The Nottingham factory will forever be associated in my mind with Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. In particular the opening scenes of the film. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

We just had the most glorious heavy rain shower. First proper rain for several weeks. I nearly went out and danced in it.
I started that in my mid thirties, so yet again I was ahead of the curve.
From about your mid forties onwards most people are just trying to not die
Oh this is such sad news. I met him last year at a film and TV festival and he was an absolute gentleman. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

All the regular cat visitors to our garden have disappeared. At first I thought it was the hot weather but it’s been weeks now. I’m thinking maybe there’s a new cat, or a logistical change on their route in? I miss them so much!!!
That’s enough Elgar, time for some old people’s music from the year 2000 #totp
When people on quiz shows say ‘that’s a bit before my time…’ to questions. It’s a quiz show mate, not all the questions will be specific to your lifetime.
What is an extremely nerdy/obscure/specific thing you hate with a white-hot wrath?

Today was the last working day for someone who worked in my organisation for over 40 years. I have been their manager since I joined two years ago. They said I’m the best manager they’ve had and they wished I’d been there sooner ❤️. I’m glad I could help make their last couple of years positive ones.
I’ve been singing ‘Little Weird Courgette’ since our neighbour gave us this to try from his allotment.
The weather: I’m going to be about 27 degrees today, and pretty humid, just FYI My brain: You should defo have a casserole for tea, nice and hot and involving lots of time in the hot kitchen. Throw in a jacket potato too.
Love the current trend of North American public libraries absolutely smashing it out of the park with their social media videos.
Me happily singing to myself. My daughter: ‘Please don’t sing that.’ Me: ‘What am I allowed to sing?’ Her: ‘…that song where it’s just silence.’
I don’t have my work nemesis anymore as I’ve moved jobs. Instead I’ve got beef with the spider that lives in our garage and comes out to frighten me when I’m doing my cross trainer workout. I have all the power though, they know I could squash them anytime I want. Just like with my old work nemesis.
I’ve had one of those dodgy AI generated emails supposedly from a podcast inviting me on. Feel like I’ve really made the big time 🤣.
Planning some celebrations for my 50th birthday in the autumn. I feel I should be booking a weekend away in a luxury beach house with a group of my friends who don’t like each other, leading to jealousy, conflict, and long hidden secrets unravelling with devastating consequences.
