Does Paramount even KNOW how to take care of the Animaniacs?
As someone whose understanding of this stuff is admittedly unsophisticated, seems like the most likely AI boom outcome is that productivity gains get mostly offset by an arms race between AI scams and AI countermeasures. And the alternative is to spend trillions of dollars on other things instead.

This is so damn pathetic. Still, I do get some consolation at the thought of the nation's ICE goons --who are over-represented in 5/6 of these traits-- being reminded by the regime's Crusades Minister, that they are a department of rejects from the real military branches.
Hegseth: "It's worth saying again so the fake news understands it. We are no longer the woke department or the weak department. Simple translation of that -- no fatties no trannies no beardos no weirdos no wimps no radicals. Just warriors."
Say what you will about Patton. But he actually understood the importance of things like logistics, supply chains, planning... reading. Cool backdrop, though.

"He signed them like he was signing Denny's menus. One by one. Over and over and over again." What the hell is going on at Cruz's local Denny's?
CRUZ: Do you have any evidence whatsoever to believe that I and 20% of Republicans in the Senate will engage in destruction or tampering with evidence or intimidation of potential witnesses? JACK SMITH: No. We had powerful evidence that Donald Trump and his associates would
Posting a vid of myself confidently smirking as I tell the crowd "Check this shit out." Cut out the part immediately after, when I kickflip the skateboard right into my nuts and crumple to the ground in pain. Caption: "Check this shit out."
AMAZING! Sean Hannity’s Twitter account is trying to frame Eric Schmitt's embarrassing screwup as a win, claiming he put Jack Smith "on the spot."
First thing I ask when considering a new school for my kids: "How many hours a day will they stare at a screen and listen to a head set? Higher numbers are better."
Linda McMahon: "AI is definitely a tool used correctly. I've seen it in action. I have visited the Alpha School in Austin, Texas, where they use AI for the first two hours every single morning. The students have their headsets on, they are watching their computers ... it is incredibly effective"
Hall of fame art on this Politico piece. It's like the Hemingway six-word story, but for photography. www.politico.com/news/2026/09...
Absolutely, smoke-coming-out-of-my-ears pissed at some dude for laying on his horn while I was getting my kids out of an Uber for school dropoff, and I think this is legit the most American I've felt since moving to Portugal.
Visiting a lance corporal, who just lost a leg in a drone attack on CentCom: "How are your boners soldier?"
NEWS: The Pentagon has announced mandatory low-testosterone screenings for male troops 30 and older, including screening for symptoms such as “reduced libido, loss of spontaneous morning erections, erectile dysfunction,” and other symptoms.
After some careful thought, I've decided to preemptively decline any requests to join the Ed Sheeran Loop tour. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Slap that on a bumper sticker, baby!
Blanche: "We're not going to try to regulate AI"
"Tonight on 60 Minutes: how come THEY are allowed to say it?"
What in god's name is going on over there, guys?
Sen. Kennedy: "If Joe participated in bestiality, not as the animal but as the human, don't you think he should be disqualified?" Patel: "If he voluntarily did it, sure." Sen. Kennedy: "How do you involuntarily do it?"
“Can Kamala embrace the MAGA spirit to bring the nation together?” By Ezra Klein
The homicide rate in South Carolina is more than double the "dangerous" state of California.
Tim Scott: "Think about how dangerous states like California [are] that want to take away your kids if you don't agree w/pronouns the schools chooses for your kids. They're coming for our culture. If you don't want to stand up & fight for the soul of this country, your wood is wet. It's that simple"
Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.
[cop that just spent his entire six hour shift using flock cameras to stalk his ex]: alright frank have a good weekend, stay safe brotha
This is incredibly gross and disconcerting. That said, is there a venue where descendents of other "European ethnic" groups incorporated into post-WWII whiteness can rescind our membership? These creeps have REALLY sullied a brand that was pretty spotty to begin with.
Republicans' largest donor (by far) is hosting a robust debate on his platform about whether Jews are white. Corporate Media will ask precisely 0 Republicans about their largest donor's all-consuming misogyny, xenophobia, antisemitism, he will instead by referred to as a visionary industrialist.
"The potential loss of NSA Bahrain is effectively the equivalent of losing an aircraft carrier. It could not have come as a surprise that Iran would attack it in retaliation, yet it — and those living and working there — were left exposed" www.militarytimes.com/opinion/2026...
The devastation of NSA Bahrain is a national security warning
Opinion: If NSA Bahrain is not reconstituted to pre-attack capabilities, it will fundamentally change how the U.S. Navy operates, the author of this op-ed writes.

People talk a lot about how Trump could try and fix the midterm or 2028 vote to ensure a GOP win. But I think an underrated risk is that he introduces enough disruption and chaos to render the election obviously invalid, then tries to keep power through an interminable legal limbo over a remedy.
This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.
Listening to @theresthistory.bsky.social WWII series, & it's astounding how many opportunities there were for someone to say "fuck right off" and probably end it there But instead said "probably best to go along, and hope it sooths him. He can't really be the psycho he pretends to be in his book."
Pathetic -- Google is now referring to Lake Ontario as "Lake America"
This is the playbook, day-in and day-out: Find someone you think people won't defend, and target them obsessively. 2. Repeat terrible things about them, until people are used to hearing it. 3. Lump other people into that group. 4. Keep expanding the circle.
I love Talarico and hope he wins. But he’s already raised $70M On the flipside, control of critical state legislatures will come down to seats where candidates raise 0.1% of that. I’ve researched the highest leverage swing district candidates you should donate to secure.actblue.com/donate/donat...
Donate to the candidates on the front lines of the fight against MAGA gerrymandering
These are anti-MAGA state candidates in *extremely* close races

Underappreciated: US farmland *already substantially produces energy, not food*, and does so very inefficiently. Corn ethanol (~40% of all US corn) requires about 100 times more land per vehicle-mile driven than solar photovoltaics -> electric vehicles. Shifting corn to solar *would free up land*.
anytime people raise concerns about land use for solar projects or anything like that i just want to point out that half the corn we grow in this country gets used to make gasoline slightly worse
