It’s really cool how there are some restaurants I’ve been ordering food from for years that know who I am when they hear my voice on the phone. (I know it’s also potentially the caller ID but let me have this 😹)

NEWS: In a stunning upset, Mamdani-backed Darializa Avila Chevalier will defeat five-term incumbent Adriano Espaillat in the NY-13 congressional primary. With victories by Lander, Valdez, and now Avila Chevalier, Mamdani went 3-for-3 with his endorsements in New York City's Democratic primaries.

Reposting my #MSWL for #amquerying writers. After checking out my wish list, you can also check out my thread of tweets for very specific wish list items! Some top things I’m looking for are an adult paranormal romcom, a mystery set in a fantasy world, and/or a college setting.

Happy February! I’m still open to queries! Reposting my MSWL and the thread of some of my dream #MSWL items again. Yes, this thread is repeated and I don’t care. I look forward to reviewing all your submissions! www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/re...

I’m super excited to work with Jordan! I fell in love with “A Deal with the Monkey King” and another manuscript from her a few years back! I really enjoyed chatting with her about all her stories ❤️ Editors, if you’re looking for a YA fantasy based on the Chinese Zodiac, let me know 👀

I'm excited to FINALLY announce, I am repped by @rebeccaw04.bsky.social at Sheldon Fogelman! Rebecca has been a champion of my work for years and she's the perfect person to bring my YA Chinese fantasy, A Deal with the Monkey King into readers hands. Get your grubby lil hands ready.

I just got a shipping notice for two preorders I’m super excited about and realized I’m running out of room for my books. I’ve got a book cart and many book stacks on my floor. There are several giant storage bins of books in my basement. I can’t wait for the day when I have walls of bookshelves.

The best thing I’ve done is start doing things alone. I’ve gone to coffee shops, movies, a couple of restaurants, concert, and even a Broadway show by myself. I saw another movie solo last night. It’s nice getting out there.

Trump’s bombing of Iran is reckless and a direct threat to American and Iranian lives. Launching military strikes without congressional authorization or evidence of an imminent threat is not strength. It is an abuse of power. Tell your Members of Congress to put an immediate stop to this war.

Tell Congress: No War with Iran

Trump has launched unauthorized military strikes on Iran, dragging the United States into yet another war without approval from Congress. This reckless escalation is putting U.S. servicemembers, Ameri...

All hands on deck, folks. This will effectively eliminate all books by queer authors and about queer lives, even books with secondary characters, books where the author or a character uses they/them pronouns. This bill will erase identities and harm kids. And it won't stop at public schools.

A nationwide book ban bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives. Here's what you need to know about HR7661, including who is behind it, the history behind such bills, and what you need to do to stop it. bookriot.com/hr7661-book-...

I was unaware of this until now. But I did just learn about the new SCOTUS ruling that postal workers can’t be sued over intentionally not delivering mail. The ability to vote is becoming harder. Know your rights and spread the word.

“Any mail that’s getting dropped into a blue box is not getting postmarked on the same day, and likely not on the day after either,” says the leader of a postal workers’ union. This could have tremendous implications for voting:

Reading a YA anthology is hard because there are a few short stories I would absolutely love a full book for. Yes, they’re also perfect short stories, but I’m obsessed with the characters and want more 😩

I just saw “Newsies” for the first time on stage and it reminded how much I would’ve loved to play Katherine. I’m an okay singer but I can’t tap dance. Other dream roles include Cosette in “Les Mis,” Sophie in “Mamma Mia,” and a Council Member (if I could dance like I used to) in “Hairspray.”
