Are you creating agentic that involve money or the need for local services when preparing fields for display (date formatting for example?). If so, A2UI's client-side functions can help you give your agent the ability to run local code quickly and declaratively!

My latest hot take: I miss the days when you could just hit escape on your browser, and all the images would stop animating.
Are you using a single agent for every coding task? A setup using multiple agents (each with its own context, role, skills, and rules) can help you leverage different models for different tasks, compartmentalize context and errors, and get things done faster.
Does anyone have resources to recommend on managing large libraries of skills? Example: If I have a single reference file that's useful for two different skills, what should I do? Live with the denormalization and put it in both? Combine the skills somehow? Share it in a bucket?
Latency is often the first thing people ask about when they see GenUI. I've got some tips for reducing or even eliminating it! Links in first reply. ⬇️
Python or Go? (This isn't intended as cheap flamebait -- I've been working more on the backend of agentic apps, and I'd like to focus on one of the two languages until I feel like I really understand what's up. I genuinely welcome and will likely act on your opinions 🙂)
Having recently moved out of the Bay area, it's a new and mildly unsettling experience to sit in my basement home office during a thunderstorm, listening to the sump pump churn and knowing that its tiny impeller is all that stands between me and a submerged desk. 🤣
Another What I Learned This Week, with #GenUI at #Fluttercon and some agent skills to share for people building with multi-agent coding teams!
Not sure how I missed this post on getting Flutter up and running on the Steam Deck. I've been replaying Dave the Diver recently and might have to go searching for Flame-based games afterward. 🕹️ dev.to/erickzanardo...

Publishing an llms.txt is now nearly free, and adoption is climbing. Getting an agent to actually read it is the hard part. We benchmarked both sides. There's good news and bad news.
I wrote another blog post! This one's on Flutter, Python, and learning with Antigravity: blog.flutter.dev/learning-fas....

[Using Antigravity to port the Python AGY SDK to Dart] AGY: Hmm. Python SDK relies on a prebuilt binary. Me: Native hooks, then, or direct downloads? AGY: Looks like someone already published a Dart Antigravity package nine days ago. Maybe we just copy theirs? Me: 🤦🏻♂️
What I Learned This Week Part Six, in which our hero learns that the thing he discovered last week was discovered by someone else last month and already has a buzzword.
It's Monday, which means another "What I Learned This Week" video. In this one I've got updates on v1.0 of the A2UI protocol for GenUI, my first foray into Dart Functions on Firebase, and more!
Today there's live Flutter+GenUI with Cagatay Ulusoy and @labenz.dev, y'all! There aren't too many people who know GenUI in prod like Cagatay! https://www.youtube.com/live/5DeV14h6ZqU

Flame on the SteamDeck:
Been quiet lately, but not idle! Among other things, been working on pushing Mine Cart Operator on steam and the steam deck! Still some adjustments to do, but the page is up you can wishlist it if it gets your attention :) store.steampowered.com/app/3997420/... #indiegame #indiedev #flutterdev
Me: Hey, Antigravity, can you test my game like a real player? AGY: Sure! I'll just add flutter_driver, make a new entry point, add value keys to some of the widgets, figure out DTD via the Dart MCP, launch the app, teach myself Reversi, and start hitting buttons. Just wild.

Another "What I Learned This Week," featuring an update to Flutter's contribution guidelines and a tip on how to generate captions for videos (since I happened to learn that one this week, too). 😀
Does anyone have a hotel recommendation for Fluttercon in Orlando? The convention center is huge, and it looks like you could stay at one of its "official" hotels and still have a twenty minute walk.

I did another video! The thing I learned this week was how to code a set of classes myself to make sure I fully understood them, and then have Gemini create a reusable skill (a set of markdown-formatted instructions and context) that Antigravity could use to auto-create similar stuff when needed.
I'm giving social video a try (in part to justify to my wife how much I've spent on lighting equipment). 😀 This is a minute-or-two recap sharing what I worked on and learned last week, mostly about GenUI and the A2UI protocol, which is getting a version bump to 0.9!
