I saw the movie in the theater and it was good. The real power fantasy for me is the themes of leadership and teamwork (both wins and defeats). I'm less compelled by the violence.
Glyphs is one of the few apps that makes me consider getting a Mac again. Still a possibility, I did buy an iPad just to use Procreate.

I graduated from CCA 21 years ago. It was announced that the college would be closed next year after being purchased by Vanderbilt University. (120-year run) Even though I paid for college, I still think higher education should be free, and we'll pay the costs for it not being free. Funny timing.

SNL UK has been an absolute blast, wish there was more than 6 episodes in season, but happy to hear they'll be back in September. Ania Magliano's sign off from Weekend Update was hopefully a sign of where the cast and crew will be going next.
I used to really like the band the Toadies so I listened to their new album… and it's like old man incel music. It's weird listening to songs of love lorn dudes that are essentially waving big red flags. You've released five or so albums over the past 30 years and had zero introspection to change 🤷♂️
So excited to play this. The realest power fantasy I crave isn't to shoot guns or throw fireballs, it's to be cool enough to work at a record store, and finally there's a game to deliver what I want.

I just finished listening to Snow Crash (this is maybe the 10th time). For the past decade I've been embarrassed to mention my love for the book, because some rich dorks took the wrong ideas from it about VR. I didn't realize "Snow Crash" was the actual thing they were aiming for. Still prescient
I saw Akira (1988) at the theater last night and it was incredible. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie and there's so many more layers to it than I remember. The animation feels so luxurious. What a treat.
