Bay Area friends: would you consider opening your home to these two cuddly cats? A friend found them behind a gas station. Their sibling, a black cat, got adopted, but it appears no one likes orange cats. They are being kept in a bathroom for the time being and need a home.

A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?

I think so much of people's response to finding out someone is vegan or vegetarian is that most people intuitively understand that not eating meat is the morally correct position, and so even finding out that someone doesn't makes them feel like they're being judged.

I went vegetarian at 14 and had people trying to sneak meat into my food, calling me slurs, waving pieces of ham in my face, telling me I was going to die from poor health, refusing to provide options at meals, etc, but to this day I say I'm vegan and people are like "omg, so you're JUDGY."

Has there ever been an instance of someone having legal trouble because an internet rando suggested an idea for the author's creator owned work and the author decided to do something similar without crediting the internet rando?

With some urgency: if you've got any paying writing work, or any leads on the same, right now I could VERY much use some meaningful employment as a writer.

I've been noticing that established comic writers have been taking on multiple franchises at once, and I don't think it's a coincidence. As great as each announcement is, it also feels like an increasingly loud statement on how absurdly expensive things have become for those of us who make comics.

If the actor with British accent is evil then you’re watching Sci fi. If the actor with a British accent is good then it’s Fantasy. If the actor with a British accent knocks something over then it’s a Rom com.

One of the craziest things in indie comics is reading a book where the author is so clearly influenced by manga that, despite being a native English speaker, they write with the cadence of poorly translated Japanese.

Not to be DRAMATIC, but the difference between lettering over an artist who does not think about the lettering while doing layouts, and one who does, is like the difference between being buried alive and standing in a field on a beautiful day, feeling the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin.
