How can museums and cultural heritage collections become easier to discover, understand and reuse by designers, game developers, researchers and creative teams? REEVALUATE is exploring this. Our public outputs are here: zenodo.org/communities/... #DigitalHeritage #Museums #GameDev #OpenScience
Digitisation is not the end point. It is the first step in enabling heritage to travel further. In REEVALUATE, we work across fashion, Olympic culture, and Roman archaeology to turn artefacts into digital assets that support access, interpretation, storytelling, and new digital experiences.
Exploitation is packaging. REEVALUATE turns enablers into a 3-step adoption ladder: 1) Starter—prioritise+contextualise a thematic slice, 2) Governance-ready—validation, permissions & traceability, 3) Marketplace—public discovery + professional reuse with reuse tracking & compliance export.
Cultural heritage is also about whose stories remain visible. This #InternationalWomensDay REEVALUATE highlights heritage digitization and reuse that keep women’s histories accessible and meaningful. This garment from MoMu Antwerp (ST2202) is one example. #DigitalHeritage #WomenInCulture #REEVALUATE
REEVALUATE models CH reuse as a 2-sided pathway: CHIs publish governed, reuse-ready packages (context + permissions + provenance/traceability) via a dual path (public discovery + governed pro access). SMEs adopt because it cuts clearance effort, reduces risk & enables compliance evidence export.
REEVALUATE maps scalable cultural heritage reuse across 4 layers: L1 CHIs steward assets → L2 digitization + metadata/context makes content reusable → L3 governance & trust (rights clarity, provenance/traceability, validation) removes “last-mile” friction → L4 reuse in games, film/VFX, XR, EdTech.
Live from the REEVALUATE plenary 👋 Today we deep-dive into our pilots: fashion, Olympic & music heritage, and Aquileia. Testing how our tools behave in real cultural heritage contexts – and what still needs to be fixed. Learn more: reevaluate.eu Introduction video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL8L...
REEVALUATE joined #ResearchersNight2025 with 3D Research to showcase AI tools and the upcoming virtual tour of Aquileia. Visitors explored how tech, public participation, and immersive design are transforming the way we experience and share cultural heritage. 🌍✨ #HorizonEU
🔐 Who owns digitised heritage? And how can we manage it fairly in the digital age?
We’re proud to share that Ruben Peeters, one of the researchers of #KULeuven contributing to the #REEVALUATE project, just returned from the International Semantic Web Summer School (#ISWS2025), a renowned gathering for advancing #AI and #KnowledgeGraphs.
🤝 Connecting Culture and Creativity with Smart Collaboration Tools In #REEVALUATE, we are building intelligent tools to support the #discovery and #reuse of digitised cultural heritage and the Collaboration Enabler is a central piece of that puzzle.
How can #AI help breathe new life into digitised cultural heritage assets? Through the AI-Driven Creative Reuse Enabler, #REEVALUATE is pushing the boundaries of generative hashtag#AI in the #cultural and hashtag#fashion domains.
Only a few months ago, deliverable D2.3 was delivered, which outlines the first release of the Contextualisation Enabler, a key technological component of the #REEVALUATE #platform.
