My dear friend Margo’s beautiful book about ghosts & the people who haunt them is out today!! Happy book birthday @margo-thespian.bsky.social!

#tolkientober day 9- #Boromir 's weakness is a main focus of his character, but for me the temptation wasn't just about power, control, or revenge. It was about "Hope" for Gondor. #sketch #fanart #doodle

Can I just take a moment to gush over @xesands.bsky.social ? Starting a book with some narrators feels like coming into a warm home from a snow storm. Which might be an odd comparison given how many thrillers I've experienced through them. 😅 This is my autolisten/buy criteria.(I've four.)

Huzzah!!! I've a cloak back!

Stretching today's #tolkientober prompt "East" juuuuust a tad to do this. Do I care? Nope.(Stealing from them again 'cause I can't repay how lovely they are to me.) @lomionart.bsky.social 's Laithrun. The Avari, then Moriquendi, have relatively Eastern origins and haunts. #fanart #doodle #sketch

Okay... still debating Awww- innocent vibe Awww- romantic vibe Aww - familial unwritten fanfic scene...aww but visibly maybe not-so-innocent looking? different vibe entirely? Open to suggestion. But it's absolutely going to be self indulgent.

I don't just want to rush today's #Tolkientober prompt so I'll probably do it tomorrow and either the day before's or tomorrow might end up being a skip. Or much later catch up. Aka it's getting late and I'm torn between three ideas.

Just a friendly reminder that your desire to have a bookshelf with a rolling ladder is valid. Don’t allow anyone to disrespect you by telling you otherwise.

#WriterShareWednesday #TheColorsThatHaunt Coming out tomorrow is my first book The Colors That Haunt Us! The Colors That Haunt Us is a queer gothic story of haunted art, impossible sapphic longing, grief, obsession, and a house that does not know how to let go.

I got another cover deal ^-^

Soooo co-worker isn't coming back. I'm now the only worker for the department in full.People covering other days only here to slice things. For now the 50ish hour weeks will continue. Likely for winter. When hours are cut, less time but still days. Whelp. At least this will help with winter costs 🤷🏻

A day behind on #tolkientober . Don't think I'll get today's done tonight, but for now. Silly me had prompt mixed up in mind all day- Day 5- "Birds" - #Melian taught nightingales how to sing #fanart #sketch #doodle #silmarillion

People are being -super- peoplely today 😫

The Weight of Angels -3/5 How would art +society be changed if Oscar Wilde had not been imprisoned? Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/review/show/... Storygraph: app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/32d2... #netgalley #bookreview #alternativehistory #historical #queer #literary #humorous #booksky (triggers👇)

Was called into work. Def wouldn't have stayed up so late if I hadn't been told I'd have today off. 🥱 Co-worker's been out for a few weeks. Unclear if she's coming back. Im getting too old to pull off these 50-60 hours on feet. At least with not wasting a day just to sleep.

Day4 of #tolkientober "poet"-One of my abs. fav things about #Maglor , as much a poet as a musician, is even as broken as he is he takes #elrond + #elros into his heart and under his arms.(Credit to @mgcoco.bsky.social for forever changing my head canon design for twins) #fanart #doodle #sketch

How could I not steal @lomionart.bsky.social 's version of #Maeglin for day 3 of #tolkientober "Forge"? When they're such a master of craft? I hope I'll be forgiven for how quick/rough I had to make this. #fanart #sketch #doodle #silmarillion

Work days will likely be doodles...Having a little silly fun with Day 2 of #tolkientober "Luck" - I have a feeling #Pippin (and Merry) would get very much into gambling with lots of luck and competition. #fanart #doodle #sketch #lordoftherings #tolkientober2026

What I'll be using as a base/starting sketch for a pic I'll work though out the month on for #Tolkientober to give a slightly better version for Day 1: Mortality . Nowhere is the fate of man discussed more than with the story and interactions of #andreth #fanart #tolkien #sketch

Last few weeks I have been utterly -obsessed- with Faouzia.Of you are vocalist it might make more sense why I'm gobsmacked. If you haven't heard her, try her live/orchestral recordings first. If I can suggest a start in a very geeky way? Three character dynamics from #Flourish via songs: (1/4)

#Tolkientober Day 1 - Mortality No Middle-earth race is more steeped in mortality than the Orcs, both that of others and their own. They are the ones truly "doomed to die", created both in- and out-of-world as walking swordfodder for the heroes and fading into nothing as the story ends. #orctober

Sooo short version I spent nearly 23 hrs straight, napping between scans, running my com through every malware/spyware/etc scan I could and ended up reinstalling Windows just to be extra safe 'cause I made a very stupid, rookie, mistake and did a run/paste/execute from a website masked as cloudflare.

Within Our Seams -Act III: The Reassembling #Theo must face truths he's avoided.Allies old and new collide as chaos erupts. A moment of hope in midst peril. archiveofourown.org/works/443638... #fanfiction #saplingau #rop #arondir #bronwyn #aronwyn #originalcharacters #OCs #ringsofpower #Isildur

🥺 Oh noes! Truce between those who reside in @middleearth.quest ? Anyone seen a 🦊? Poor floof lost his snack. Spare a bite of rations for him? This one will feed another critter, I hope. Even Orcs don't care for waste...but leaves too useful not to hold onto. Can't pick up and track 'im!

As of last year, if there's something in particular /a character or place/timeline etc you'd really like to see me include in this year's attempt feel free to speak up.

Cousin's wedding is tomorrow.Lovely, yes. Also being then being in a building that gets very loud. And hours engaging with people who I know, and know me, in the we live in a small town casual way. I've a low social battery. Sooo open to suggestions for plot bunnies to distract+mentally recharge.

Between this and my car repair bill, it's going to be a truly woeful week of stress. And that's all before my other bills due next week. But, you know, one freaking problem at a time 😭 Every repost helps! 💙 Trying not to panic, but bills are Stress City these days ... ko-fi.com/rjcrunden/go...
