I'm updating my homebrew world for 5E and trying to come up with descriptors of monk styles that match the great spirits of the animistic pantheon. Firefly, Elephant, and Tree style were all fairly easy. But it's going to get harder as I go. #gmproblems #D&D5E

I'm working on converting my homebrew to 5E in preparation for running a game, and this means going through a bunch of old notes to get organized (it's been a while). I just found my notes on the minotaur pirate island, and I am still amused by the idea of vikings that come with their own horns.

The vast majority of people are very bad liars. A very few people are naturally good liars, and many people are very practised liars, but most people are unable to mask deception, keep their stories consistent, and avoid tripping red flags while being questioned.

In all seriousness though, elder millennial jokes aside, I think it’s important to resist the media framing of any mainstream resistance to the status quo as just the shrill nonsense of middle-aged women with nothing better to do. This isn’t the first time they’ve run out this playbook.
