A government official in Australia says the Northern Territory needs data centres to use lots of water so......the Earth's axis doesn't flip

Here's three employment services providers making >$1m in donations to the political parties of the government of the day over the past decade. This is a down-payment for the Government to look the other way on fraud and misconduct. No-one has ever been referred for prosecution.

Significant political donations

Annual disclosures registered with the AEC show $255,720 in donations from Sarina Russo Job Access (Australia) over five years. Of these, 77% or $197,300 were made to the Coalition parties, including state and federal structures, and 23% or $58,420 to the ALP, including state and federal structures. 215 Significant political donations from a major
government contractor could create the perception of a conflict of interest, or grounds to investigate a possible conflict.Political donations to party in power

APM regularly makes political donations in Australia, skewed towards whichever party holds Federal Government APM made a total of $905,973 in donations over ten years from 2015–16 to 2024–25, with 60 percent to the Australian Labor Party ($540,088) and 39.4 percent to the Coalition parties ($356,795), mainly the Liberal Party. Donations have
been made to the WA branches, as well as to the national party structures.Political donations

MedHealth Group appeared in the AEC’s political donations dataset for the first time in 2024–25 It donated $20,000 to the Coalition parties – $10,000 to the Liberal Party of Australia and $10,000 to the Liberal National Party of Queensland – and $5,000 to the Australian Labor Party. The Liberal National Party won government in Queensland at the 2024 state election.

Political donations by a major recipient of government contracts could indicate, or create the perception of, a conflict of interest.

CICTAR’s damning report reveals just how crooked the employment services system really is. Ever wonder what those “employment providers” do with all the money the Government gives them to harass you? Donate it back to politicians! 1/2

New data out today from the ABS shows Australians over the past 18 months really have been doing a lot more international travel. One country though seems to not be all that popular of a destination. Can't think why.

Hey, sure AI data centres destroy our environment, push up the cost of resources, track and spy on us, steal from creatives, but also remember if they work as promised they will help rich people sack as many people as possible and drive down wages.

Give us the copyright to the collective work of your creatives and in return we will take your water, land, power and data privacy. On what planet is that a ‘deal’ and not just old fashioned pillage?

The AI rollout is an incredible test case for the power of capital to overrule everything in its way. An overwhelmingly stupid, obscenely polluting, and wildly dangerous set of technologies are being brute-forced into every part of our lives because money says so.
