Congressman Brendan Boyle

Represent Pennsylvania. Ranking Member, House Budget Committee. Diehard Philly sports fan.

In what is clearly the most closely watched congressional race tonight in Philly, I would like to thank the Democratic voters of #PA2 for renominating me. I never take it for granted. I look forward to doing all I can to build a big Democratic House majority in Nov. 🌊

The idea that even one violent criminal who attacked our democracy would get a dime of taxpayer money is sickening. If anyone should be compensated, it should be the police who were savagely attacked on January 6th. Trump is only in it for himself and his allies.

Instead of keeping his promise to lower costs, President Trump is jacking up prices on everything from health care to gas. Now, he wants a budget that sends another $70 billion for ICE and Border Patrol while doing nothing to lower costs. The American people deserve better.

This morning, I have one question — where is Trump's Budget Director Russell Vought? The architect of Project 2025 has gone completely missing in front of the Budget Committee, probably because he can't defend the administration's disastrous, unpopular economic record.

I'm demanding to know just how much money Trump's war in Iran will cost Americans. Working families don't want to spend billions on an unnecessary war — they want lower costs and health care.

NEW: “Taxpayers deserve a nonpartisan estimate of the financial and economic impact of President Trump’s reckless war in Iran that has already led to the tragic deaths of American service members.” RM @congressmanboyle.bsky.social's request for CBO analysis on the costs of Trump's war in Iran:

Thrilled to deliver $250,000 today for the Salvation Army's New Day program, which helps survivors of human trafficking. This investment will further empower the Salvation Army to do good work, lifting up the people in our neighborhoods who need it most.

President Trump may have been telling the truth when he said he’d never heard the word “affordability” until a few months ago. If you’re a billionaire who’s been handed everything, you don’t have to think about what things cost.

The Department of Homeland Security is supposed to keep Americans safe. Instead, Americans are being executed in the streets. We're calling on Senators Fetterman and McCormick to vote against any DHS funding until there are meaningful reforms and real accountability.

Censoring America's history of slavery is a betrayal of our nation's principles. Living up to the ideals America was founded on demands being honest about our history — the good and the bad. My full statement on Trump's censorship at Independence Hall:

This is absolutely unacceptable. I am proud of our country and the ideals on which it was founded, and telling the full truth about our history, both the good and the bad, is essential to preserving those ideals.
With the National Park Service facing budget cuts as our nation prepares for its 250th anniversary, this administration should be strengthening these historic sites, not censoring them to erase the past.
Philadelphia and the entire country deserve an honest accounting of our history, and this effort to hide it is wrong.

As the Lead Democrat of the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I completely oppose President Trump’s threats against the sovereignty of a NATO ally. He is doing more damage to this important alliance than any attack from outside ever could.

If Donald Trump invades Greenland, it would be the end of NATO as we know it and a devastating blow to the historic alliances that keep Americans safe. We must not betray our allies for the petty ambitions of one man. www.bbc.com/news/article...

It came as European allies rallied behind Denmark after renewed US insistence it must have Greenland.
