Today we celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act — a landmark civil rights law that changed the lives of millions of people with disabilities and affirmed their right to fully participate in our communities.

This week, my staff attended the ribbon cutting for Summit Pacific Medical Center's expansion! With the help of federal funding, this incredible project doubled the hospital's inpatient capacity, expanded emergency care, and brought back its swing bed program!

Republicans are trying to sneak parts of the SAVE Act into a bill that bans stock trading for members of Congress – except it’s not really a ban.  They are trying to turn a bipartisan issue into a Trojan horse to make it harder for people to vote.

I’m on my way to vote ‘No’ on the NDAA. This bill would send Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth over a trillion dollars to continue pointless wars in Iran while families are struggling to afford groceries, housing, and healthcare.
