The benefits of developing technology should accrue to us, the workers, through a reduction in how many hours we spend working, not to the bosses by helping them more efficiently extract exploit us
More Perfect Union@moreperfectunion.bsky.social · 3y agoA bill to create a 4-day work week is about to be introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature. Companies with more than 500 workers would have to shorten their week to 32 hours, without reducing pay. Recent polling shows that 81% of workers nationwide want a four-day week.

BREAKING: Graduate workers at Duke University have won a union. 2,500 student-workers have chosen to organize with Duke Grad Union, with 88% voting yes. They now form the first graduate union at a private university in the South.
