The Odyssey cost $250 million to make. Guess who got a tax break worth more than 30x that last year? Amazon—after firing 30,000 workers.

the next time they call themselves ’Good Christians’ remind them of the time they arrested and locked up a nun on her way to do god’s work. Calling yourself a Christian while being a no good bully is old AF!
I’m convinced #art will save us. I love drawing/painting the human body. #blackgayartist #blackart #queerart #nudeart

To everyone who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years. I got a little teary-eyed tonight thinking about my mother-in-law, Marian Robinson.
Must haves for traveling 5 days with big clothes and just a carryon! 🚀🛍️
Cardinal pics are a dime a dozen. For bird photographers, they're the easies to get and nothing to brag about because everyone has good Cardinal pics. But dammit, I like this photo I got of a Cardinal today and I'm sharing it with everyone!
I’m convinced art will save us. I love creating people whose gender is ???. They are femme, beautiful, alluring, and powerful without fitting neatly into anyone else’s expectations. Gender is bigger than the boxes we’re given. #QueerArt #GenderExpansive #LGBTQArtists #BlackArtists #ArtAsResistance
Kind of a self portrait. Inspired by the marquee/promotional image of the Superfine exhibit at @metmuseum.org last year
Drew this colored pencil Black Barbie during lessons and workshops at a leadership institute retreat last week. I appreciated being in a space that honored different learning styles. For me, drawing helps me focus, listen, and process. Love a Black Barbie. The hair is my favorite part.
Keep on, with the force, don't stop. Don't stop 'til you get enough!
This was about 10 years ago. I wonder what would happen now…
Raider@iwillnotbesilenced.bsky.social · 6mo agoA Georgia couple who terrorized a Black family at a child's birthday party with Confederate flags, racial slurs, guns, and death threats were sentenced for a hate crime. Joe Torres got 20 years; Kyla Norton got 15.
When I first started drawing, I didn’t use erasers… I thought being an artist meant you had to get it right the first time! #wrong 🤣 Now I’ve got a whole bag. Creating is what it’s important. NOT PERFECTION. #ArtProcess #CreativeJourney #StartAgain #KeepCreating #Growth
If the WH new ball room is critical for future security of POTUS, maybe he should cancel all future rallies, golf games, Mar-a-lardo stays etc and just hunker down in his bunker. I for one would enjoy the break.
Why is “abbreviated” such a long word? 🤔 #Language #Words #English #RandomThoughts #BlueSky
The folk voted and I listened. Building layers on this colored pencil piece of a spicy fem figure. Skin’s coming alive. Hair and clothes up next. She’s on her way. 🎨🔥 #blackart #blackartist #art #ColoredPencil #FigureDrawing #BodyPositiveArt #CurvyArt #SpicyArt #WIP #ArtProcess

Late in the midnight hour God’s gonna turn it around. And around. And around….
I’M #OUTSIDE. This shirt brings me joy. I’m working to stay grounded and hopeful even in a dark space. How are you holding onto joy right now? #BlackJoy #ThickAndLiving #SpringEnergy #BreatheAndReceive #addblacksky #blackgaysky
Breathe. You don’t have to be strong all the time. Breath is a tool. Inhale. Reset. Return. We don’t just get to breathe we must.
Still working on him. It’s a little lazy because i only used two pencils lol. He’s not pregnant just using his other hand inside the hoodie to stretch it out he’s in a dressing room. A pepper because it’s spicy lol. #BlackArt #BlackArtists #BlackCreative #QueerArt #ArtAsResistance #VisualPoetry
