Talking about your ocs can feel scary or cringe or pointless bc “who cares?” But the thing is you HAVE to talk about them unashamedly if u want other people to care… even if u think no one is listening.
Of his known living relations, Ruckus has an Auntie on his father's side and 4 Cousins, 2 of whom are bonded, one with 3 kids. A merchant in Drybone is his dad's cousin, but everyone else he grew up with he might have claimed blood ties to either passed during Calamity or in violence prior-to.

Avenrhi’s been a very different kind of real time character development experience for me, because she’s so annually cyclical by nature- it’s very easy to look at her progression seasonally. Mark passage of time. She’s Althyk-aligned so this works really well.
Avenrhi’s had some relational upheaval of late, as the tea tent girl she’s had her heart stuck on tenderly since last spring (Temenha) has broken it off with her, after the hurt of a lack of transparency exposed the roots of other frictions & uncertainties between their one-sided open courtship.

Avenrhi had new sets of chores with each summer household she fell in with... But her real work was signalling to coordinate food & supply theft, from Gridanian homesteads.

By the age of 10, Ruckus was minding aldgoats and their kids, checking the tuco-tuco traplines, occasionally doing tortilla prep and helping with service when a big caravan was pulled in for the night. His cousin Paparva was helping her mother in merchant's kurta laundry services.
