Plan for next year: going from Java 21 to 25. We just moved from 11 to 21 😀

Last week I realised that I wasn’t better in programming than others. I solved the problems because I invested much more time than others. I usually worked 9 or 10 hours instead of 8 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now I work 6h per day and it’s frustrating that it takes so many days to finish simple tasks 😞

#JCrete was amazing as always. It was so good to be back on Crete. It felt like coming home ❤️ My kids liked it very much as well. They will miss the daily swimming. But now the want to go to the playground at home immediately 🙂 We are lucky to have very patient kids. Travel time was long.

It seems to be "hate on Lombok time of the year" and "what has Lombok ever done for us"… I am tired. - Just don't use it if u think it stinks - Don't use it as library author so that you don't force it onto others - Use it the hell you want in your enterprise application, nobody cares about anyway

@johanjanssen.bsky.social would it be possible to have the choco packages of temurin update a different Env variable? For example I like to have one by version: %JAVA21%, %JAVA17% an so on.

So many services are now running in the cloud instead of private servers. I never thought it’s a good idea to do this. Now we’ll see what’s going to happen when Musks influence rises more and more. Apple and Google already make concerning changes.

Tonight is the night our son was born 3 years ago 🎉 I remember that the weather outside was the same as now and we have and had a cough 😀 It was wonderful to return back home from hospital the next morning when the big sister just woke up.

Both kids have a fever and red inner ears. How do you handle sick kids and work in your family/country? We have 15 days per parent and kid which we can stay at home in Germany (in short, there are of course more rules 😉).
