There are primary elections on Tuesday the 4th, so Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia, and Washington, get out there and vote vote vote! And I see you Tennessee with your Thursday election on the 6th. No gods no masters, Tennessee.

An homage to the Waffle House sign that reads "Y'all come vote! Democracy House" in blue.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

Sometimes I yell at SDCC cosplayers to stop at my booth so I can enthuse at them. That was the case with this Brody and Quint from Jaws. Brody threw some "chum" on my table. It was packets of Swedish Fish candies. Genius.

Cosplayers dressed as Chief Brody and Quint from the movie Jaws.A pile of Swedish Fish candies on my table.

I don't get to see all the cool stuff at San Diego Comic-Con because I'm working. But I don't mind 'cause cool stuff comes to me. Brendan and his daughter Annika always bring the best Star Wars cosplay right to my table. And this mouse droid that Brendan made is definitely the droid I'm looking for.

The lovely and talented Brendan gives a thumbs up over the mouse droid he built. Brendan and his fabulous daughter Annika pose as a TIE Trooper and Mandolarian in front of my booth.

Even though we get early access to the con floor, SDCC forbids exhibitors from lining up for exclusives. This is a hella good and fair policy. It doesn't keep me from seeing and enjoying the collectibles, like these Lord of the Rings statues.

A statue of Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings movies. I need a winning lottery ticket. Or a wealthy-and-generous-statue-buying benfactor that totally isn't creepy. A collection of statues of characters from the animated Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies.

Sometimes we get to the SDCC exhibit floor early enough to have a decent walk about before the attendees-kraken is released. I love this time, the calm before the storm. It's often the only chance I get to see the big name booths.

A Dungeon Crawler Carl photo opportunity at the UCC booth at San Diego Comic-Con. Put your face where Carl's face should be! If they had a hole to make your face Princess Doughnut's face I would have totally done it. The Star Wars Ultimate Grogu booth being set up to sell the very expensive animatronic toy. Be right back, going to buy a lottery ticket...The Enterprise console set with blinking lights and classic Star Trek beeps and boops promoting the current season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. A large backdrop promoting the book The Art of Gravity Falls. Want to get me a gift? This would be a great gift. Not the backdrop. The book.
