I won't say I regret my decision to wear these today. But it's been years since I last wore heels since I WFH. Going to Costco was not part of my plan today, and now my thighs are so many at me!!! 😭😭😭 Looks like I'm going to have to resume going to the gym, or walk in heels more. 😅

On the topic of DAU and why it should NOT discourage you: Coming from someone with work experience.

WHAT does DAU stand for?
The term DAU stands for Daily Average Users and represents what is known in the corporate world as a Key Performance Indicator or KPI for short. The metric is used to visualize the total number of unique users of a service, mobile application or client. Unique, in this case, means one account per device registered.

This is calculated via ID like GAID for Android and IDFA for Apple in the rest of the world. whereas China uses Real-Name Authentication per device

WHY is DAU not inflexible?
There are many different KPI metrics, including LTV (Lifetime Value) and ARPPU (Average Revenue per Paying User) as well as LTR (Long-Term Retention) and CAT (Customer Satisfaction) that play into how healthy the financial standing of a product is. The metric of DAU alone does not determine the downfall of Love 8 Deepspace as a whole, but it affects the cohesion of other KPI metrics and revenue totals.

Things that can be considered TRUE
• Not logging in to the game lowers the overall DAU metric
• Both DAU and ARPPU are metrics that are currently decreasing
• LTR is naturally going down due to senior players quitting.
• Public opinion and CAT can impact investment opportunities.
• Nobody outside of Infold knows the true DAU and revenue totals.
• The raw totals of DAU will not weaken the boycott.
Sharing any DAU and ARPPU data publicly is considered the breaking of employee NDA contracts

Things that are currently UNCERTAIN
• Disabling mobile widgets lowers the DAU metric indirectly.

Things that should be seen as False
• We lost the boycott because DAU is reportedly not decreasing.

Nobody knows the real numbers.
Be critical when sensitive information is handed out to you publicly. No company would ever release this data to its players.
