Last night's watch, and a first time one too: Villain! (1971) Don't know how I'd missed watching this one for so long, a right gritty classic up there with Get Carter. Burton's performance is excellent, both menacing and vulnerable; and the script is very witty. Highly recommended!

Last night's viewing: The Black Panther (1977)! Superb British crime film based on the real life robber, kidnapper and murderer Donald Neilson. Contains a chilling performance by Donald Sumpter as Neilson. This is gripping, absorbing and totally non-exploitative - quality true crime!
Interesting. So do you have a nice sandwich for lunch, and then get interrogated by agents afterwards...?

📀+🍺= Footprints On The Moon Much to my eternal shame, a first viewing of this excellent Luigi Bazzoni film. This Shameless disc is very good indeed. Not a giallo, not a horror... but something very unique and haunting of its own design. Florinda Bolkan turns in a superb performance. Recommended!
