The borough of Brooklyn, the city of New York, and the state of New York, have an outsized role in the operation and strategy of the only viable opposition party to Trumpism. This moderate independent far away in Texas is not happy about it. And I will continue to vote accordingly.

Three years ago, the Biden White House attacked me for saying "Democrats should be fighting on every possible front — filing a flurry of lawsuits and exerting public pressure through the media." "The president's team wants to be more selective in picking legal fights." I feel sadly vindicated.

Back in 2020, as a pediatric hematologist married to a physician, we signed up to volunteer in a field hospital for patients with COVID. We wrote our wills and worried about getting our kids sick. I posted about terrifying outcomes in kids and received death threats. Fauci is a goddamn hero.

Spending high quality minutes in exercise Zone 5 (90-100% of maximum predicted heart rate) make the body and mind feel good. I get in 20 minutes in this zone alone (mixed in with 40 minutes at lower zones) daily. My body expects, no demands, this mechanical and metabolic stimulation—daily.
