Got my passport back. They changed my gender marker back. I have no idea how to feel right now other than absolutely livid at every Republican and third party voter who made this something I have to deal with.

Exciting Friday night watching a documentary on bryophytes in-between cleaning for the open house tomorrow afternoon.
Me, to me: You're just going to the grocery store. no need for this much anxiety, jeez.
Birthday weekend theme is basically spicy noodles by the truckload, with meat. Monday I'm trying some viral salad recipe bc โจ balance โจ
There's something a bit poignant about a Bluetooth device failing to connect to another device right next to it when they're the only Bluetooth devices for hundreds of thousands of kilometres around.
Incredible
My kid, Z, is a bit over two and a half (HOW?! ๐ญ๐ญ). She's put it together that singing happy birthday usually = cake. So yesterday after everyone was done singing HBD to me, she looks at Elizabeth and quietly says, "Where is my cake?" ๐๐๐คฃ
Yay, it's my birthday. ๐ No pressure, but if you want to donate to my moving fund or buy me a coffee, feel free to DM me and I'll send you my Ko-Fi or PayPal! ๐
I am going to deep fry and eat the LiMu emu, and possibly also Doug
Just wanted to remind folks, especially the GOP and the FDD, that Barack Obamaโs 2015 nuclear deal didnโt give Iran control of the Strait of Hormuz or allow it to keep 60% enriched uranium. It sent $1.7 billion to Iran versus the tens of billions Iran will now make from tolls. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
I'm 0/2 at the new coffee place absolutely undrinkable ugh. Horrible. I can't wait to get back to new England where there's actually decent coffee. Jesus Christ.
It's my birthday next week, yay. All I want is for my house to sell so we can get the heck out of the south. And maybe a cupcake.
Well I'm old enough that Walmart is playing "Everlong" by the foo fighters...
Oh cool it's TDOV and I'm still alive. That's fun. I'm accepting donations towards the ridiculous cost of moving up north ๐ (mostly joking). Anyway my gender stuff is as always complicated, but I'm still here. That's all I can ask for at this point. I'm not giving up or disappearing.
failing is hot girl behaviour ๐ซต๐ป๐ฅ
I'm finally updating the OS on my ancient laptop so homebrew stops yelling at me about how old this laptop is. Hopefully this year I can get a new personal laptop. We'll see. For now at least I'll be running an OS that isn't geriatric.
This little friend took a nap in our gutters today. They have moved along for the night, but are super cute! The little tail!! ๐ฅบ Did not pet!!
I'm having a โจ riveting โจ Saturday night reading an article about the history of clubmoss in New England ๐
Spending my NYE down with pink eye AND strep at the same time. I haven't had strep since I was a kid (and I likely got it from my kid...) and it SUCKS as an adult. Elizabeth keeps occasionally coming into my room and spraying Lysol in my general direction. ๐ซ
If you ever feel lonely, highly suggest (just kidding, I regret this immensely) putting your phone number into a moving quote website, bc damn these people are relentless ๐
Saw a show on BBC home and garden when Z was all of four months old about making a holiday garland of your baby's onesies from when they were itty bitty. We templated some hearts, trees, mittens, and stars on a box of seltzer. And now that she's 27.5 months old, I finally got around to making it. ๐
Huge shout-out to the very kind folks at @edera.dev for sharing not only a phone charger, but offering me a spontaneous invite to their table for a slice of (amazing!) pizza as I randomly ducked into a pizza place to find somewhere to charge my phone. Your generosity is very much appreciated! ๐๐
