Rengoku, or Awa Taishou Go Jr Matsunaga, loves holding a toy during his walks! He is our newest Japanese Akitainu adult import from Japan for our program! We had him for a week so far, and I absolutely adore him. Very confident, stoic, yet remarkably affectionate and silly with us.

I decided to update the artwork I made for all three Akitainu colors! Many thanks to one of my Akitainu mentors in Japan who helped me with improving the expression. I am always learning on how to draw this incredible breed!

This is one of the reasons why I got major burn out by sculpting...sculpting traditionally in clay takes time, so it's very hard for me to constantly produce enough content to stay relevant in this current rapid feed.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
