My assessment of last night's primaries is that the Progressive left may have strength in deep blue areas, they do not have a mandate in the rest of the country. If the goal is winning and getting the GOP out, the path needs to be bridge building, not wrecking. I hope they make the right decision.

I don't know if Stevens is going to win but it's certainly going to be much closer than the projections. And it's beyond clear that the Progressive left has a problem with some key parts of the Democratic party coalition.
In 1986 AIDS was a death sentence. And you couldn't marry your partner, so your family could take everything and not allow them to be at the hospital or at your funeral. But sure, nothing has gotten better since then.
And yet when Harris made a campaign appearance with Liz Cheney, that was considered unforgivable.
There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.
This used to be called "ratfucking". Except it was done by Roger Stone and his band of Republicans against Democrats. Someone please explain how this wrecker shit is any different?
How many times are we going to go through this "War is about to start, prepare for doom / lol no the Strait is open all is well" cycle? It's exhausting.

Leave the online debates online. IDGAF what you think about Stancil, this is wrong. It's not cool or edgy or ironic. It's bad.
Well some nutjob of some description definitely thought they were doing something hardcore here
So apparently Israel needs to be destroyed because there’s a Hebrew language ad to buy apartments for sale in Athens. This is not antizionism by any stretch of the imagination.
When I say it's about legitimating violence and a feudal caste system, you can see that by how they define "colonization" as private citizens purchasing private property for agreed-upon prices with money -- the exact thing that bourgeois social relations treat as the expression of freedom.
It's Lindsay Graham's funeral and all they're doing is kissing Trump's ass.
Hannity: "My President, Lindsey probably has a heavenly version of Mar-a-Lago. It may even be a little bigger. I wouldn't be surprised if he added one big beautiful ballroom and an arch somewhere on the property. Because he would want to obviously duplicate his dearest friend in life. You."
I deliberately chose to work from home today because the weather forecast was for huge amounts of rain and now it looks like the rain won't start until tonight. 🤬
Good thread unpacking the why behind the new 2028 Dem primary order. TLDR: No, the DNC is not conspiring to squash progressive candidates. They're choosing states which together represent the entire Democratic coalition. That's important to make sure we have a path to victory in November 2028.
Seeing a lot of "the DNC picked South Carolina to ensure a centrist nominee" and, no, it may feel good and validate your priors to believe that, but that's not what's happening at all. First, for obvious reasons, the DNC is going to have an early state that has a substantial Black population. 1/x

I can't express how much it sucks that I have to go through a security station with a metal detector just to go to a funeral.
We have seen these drumbeats before. They get louder over time. And usually something really bad happens before they get quieter.
For all the complaints that Democrats don't talk about the right things when campaigning, how does this appeal to anyone except the weirdos of the left?
DSA candidates need to take some real time to consider culture and race as they build support
Please tell me I’m not the only one getting a BadGateway error for Rheinbeck workshop registration?
I lived in California for 15+ years and then moved back to New York. I found the sameness of the weather unsettling after growing up in the East, and the drought cycles concerning.
This explains the general appeal of California.
Ten whole years of this one precious life poisoned by that horrible orange beast and his band of maurauders. I hate it so much sometimes. We had this and we fucking threw it all away.
