My assessment of last night's primaries is that the Progressive left may have strength in deep blue areas, they do not have a mandate in the rest of the country. If the goal is winning and getting the GOP out, the path needs to be bridge building, not wrecking. I hope they make the right decision.
I don't know if Stevens is going to win but it's certainly going to be much closer than the projections. And it's beyond clear that the Progressive left has a problem with some key parts of the Democratic party coalition.
In 1986 AIDS was a death sentence. And you couldn't marry your partner, so your family could take everything and not allow them to be at the hospital or at your funeral. But sure, nothing has gotten better since then.
And yet when Harris made a campaign appearance with Liz Cheney, that was considered unforgivable.

I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

Good thread unpacking the why behind the new 2028 Dem primary order. TLDR: No, the DNC is not conspiring to squash progressive candidates. They're choosing states which together represent the entire Democratic coalition. That's important to make sure we have a path to victory in November 2028.
