Hi, I’m Rob and I’m designing a @tempomusic.app, a social place for music on the atmosphere. 🇨🇦🇧🇷 📍Montréal

🎧 Listening to "Say My Name" by offrami - I’ve been listening a lot to house and electro to get inspiration for my next music project. I’m accepting recommendations! (note to self: create better ways to send 1to1 recommendations. maybe with AT Proto spaces) Shared via @tempomusic.app

I have a Nintendo Switch backlog of +40 games I bought when I could afford stupid decisions, so I alternate between playing new NS2 games and going through the backlog. I’ve recently started Pokémon Legends Arceus and… god that was boring. I lasted two hours and switched to Nier Automata.

My Japanese skills are stuck on the level of “can read anything but Kanji and lacks a lot of vocabulary”, so whenever my feeds give me Japanese posts, I feel like a kindergartener slowly spelling mythical texts.

I’ve never been a fan of the simulation theory, but the fact that we’re facing two Great Filter scenarios at once makes me think “shit, we all might be in a PlayStation 700 somewhere right now”.

I see a lot of “AI is gonna kill us all” but not many “AI is gonna generate a series of uncontrolled cyber attacks on critical infrastructure to the point that the future will be a hybrid analog revival more akin to the 80s and our present era will be regarded as a weird hyperconected interlude”

Real fact: I went to Japan this year and I looked everywhere for Pokémon cards. Not to gamble, but because I actually collect them, but there were none available even at Pokémon Centres. Then I found this weird card shop where you could play a game for like 5 bucks and if you got the golden ball…

Here’s a super niche feature idea that I’d love from a blogging platform: the ability to enter my own translated versions of my texts. Not machine translation, my own translated versions so I can share EN, PT, FR versions of my texts in my own voice. And the user can toggle which one they wanna read
