It is a choice for Trump to allow Netanyahu to continue prosecuting the Israeli war in Lebanon. Ultimately, that may be the undoing of the ceasefire he thought he had agreed to. If so, it’s another moment of political peril for Israel as it will be seen by many as undercutting U.S. interests.
