Fursona of a tired and lonely Gen X guy. He/Him. Bobcat/Squirrel hybrid. "Be kind. Bring joy. Repeat." Incorrigible punster - do not incorrige.

I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

RFK Jr said these words today on national television "There were ICUs that were empty all over the country including in New York at the height (of the pandemic)" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You are a fucking idiot hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha <sobs silently>

Arrrrgh... Just spent an hour unloading and dismantling one of my shelves. Badly designed, no crossbracing, it was leaning about seven inches out of true, yikes. Now have a pile of crap that should be on shelves, but isn't, and a possible trip to IKEA tomorrow...

Annoying. I got a pop up email alert in the middle of my dream. No phone, just *bloop* right in front of me. Worse, I could tell it was a scam. "Your email address has been compromised!" sort if thing. But unfortunately, the act of reading it caused me to wake up. Ugh.

Update: We are safe, we had to pull out the "for paying rent only" card, all four needed replaced. (RR caught a nail, likely in the same whatever that caused FR to blow, FL was bald and definite in need of replacement, RL was.. passable.) Four tires on an SUV is not cheap in the best of times.

That Ryan Guy, no, the other one.@rdewalt.bsky.social · 4d ago

Hey guys, we are driving to see Moxie in the hospital, and we had a tire blow out on the highway. we're safe, but getting a repair is going to drain way needed money. PLEASE help if you can. GFM: gofund.me/01200fa1b Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/1024x768 (has paypal) or Venmo: @ryan-dewalt-2

#books Reference Book Sunday! Today it's "Pocket Ref (4th Edition)" by Thomas Glover. This weensy little book is invaluable if you need a working man's knowledge of chemistry, electronics, material science, carpentry, plumbing, hardware, weather, first aid, and much much more. Astonishing, but true.

Awhile back, there was a question about what you would do if you had a lot of money, but couldn't use it for anything practical. I finally realized what it would be. A teapot. Floating at the Earth-Moon L1 Lagrange Point. Just because it's amusing to me.

Sigh... Having depression and a sensitive stomach sucks. You go and have Special Treat Food to cheer up. It's great! You feel happy and wonderful! Yay! And then you spend a very long time in the bathroom, regretting life choices and slamming straight back into depressed mode.
