I don’t really get this? No, the Sky did not have an All Star (this has happened in the NBA before) but Sky players were on the orange carpet and featured at the expo. Sky entertainment was all over the event too - Skye, Shaun Redwell, the drum line, etc.

Also notable is "biological men" when we are talking about young girls. Trans girls aren't just misgendered, they are stripped of childhood entirely, invading men. And thus always on an opposing team, a trans girl as a teammate and friend playing alongside their kid is unfathomable.

As journalists we can’t just let athletes like Sophie Cunningham or Britta Curl drop transphobic talking points into our stories without pushing back. “Protecting girls from what? From who? Where is the evidence that this is occurring?” Make them say the quiet part out loud. Challenge them w/ facts

Irresponsible reporting to let this quote stand without pushback from the reporter on the fact that there is demonstrably no danger for cis girls who are in locker rooms or sports with trans girls. (Notable that the word “trans” is not followed by “people” or “women.” Dehumanizing language.)
