Werewolf Shout Out! Georgess McHargue's MEET THE WEREWOLF was a constant library checkout when I was a kid. The book offers a historical and cultural exploration of lycanthropy, as well as some gnarly artwork by SCARY STORIES artist Stephen Gammell. I paid tribute to this classic in WHERE WOLF.

It's CURSE OF THE WHERE WOLF release week! After four years spent making it, my second graphic novel hits bookstores Friday. I'm excited to share the book with readers. Maybe too excited. Every day this week, I'll share a panel from the comic book. This one's for H-Town. www.wherewolfcomic.com

July 2026 was the most successful month the River Oaks Theatre has experienced since reopening in October 2024. That's impressive in its own right, but July 2026 was a 40 percent growth over the July 2019 box office for the River Oaks Theatre.

Janus Film's DCP of LA HAINE looks incredible on the big screen. Leave it to the romantic lead from Amelie to make one of the bleakest hangout films ever. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder how the dude who made this masterpiece also made GOTHIKA and BABYLON A.D.

I picked this up at Houston Zine Fest a few years back and finally had a chance to read it. It's a super fun indie comic from Houston creator Jarrod "Toonzi" Perez. Check out his books at Milqtoast Comics.

Even though they did my boy Boomerang dirty (Australian disgraced baseball player forced into a life of crime deserves more than a cameo), I have to admit SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY is aces. I know canonically Spidey is hated/feared but the way NYC embraces him in the films always makes me tear up.
