Werewolf Shout Out! Georgess McHargue's MEET THE WEREWOLF was a constant library checkout when I was a kid. The book offers a historical and cultural exploration of lycanthropy, as well as some gnarly artwork by SCARY STORIES artist Stephen Gammell. I paid tribute to this classic in WHERE WOLF.

Hoot! Hoot! It was either this or GUARDIANS OF GA’HOOLE.
It's CURSE OF THE WHERE WOLF release week! After four years spent making it, my second graphic novel hits bookstores Friday. I'm excited to share the book with readers. Maybe too excited. Every day this week, I'll share a panel from the comic book. This one's for H-Town. www.wherewolfcomic.com
July 2026 was the most successful month the River Oaks Theatre has experienced since reopening in October 2024. That's impressive in its own right, but July 2026 was a 40 percent growth over the July 2019 box office for the River Oaks Theatre.

I talk CURSE OF THE WHERE WOLF with Chron.com and reveal new details about sequels in the WHERE WOLF series I'd like to write. The quickest way to get those books made is to buy a copy of CURSE when it comes out this Friday! Signed copies for sale this month at TROT. www.chron.com/culture/arti...

Janus Film's DCP of LA HAINE looks incredible on the big screen. Leave it to the romantic lead from Amelie to make one of the bleakest hangout films ever. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder how the dude who made this masterpiece also made GOTHIKA and BABYLON A.D.

I picked this up at Houston Zine Fest a few years back and finally had a chance to read it. It's a super fun indie comic from Houston creator Jarrod "Toonzi" Perez. Check out his books at Milqtoast Comics.

Friends, the beloved River Oaks Theatre will be playing a new documentary called Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World beginning July 31! The film weaves lived experiences of the legendary American poet with readings of her work. buff.ly/SaKbVcu @kinolorber.com
Even though they did my boy Boomerang dirty (Australian disgraced baseball player forced into a life of crime deserves more than a cameo), I have to admit SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY is aces. I know canonically Spidey is hated/feared but the way NYC embraces him in the films always makes me tear up.
I had a great time last night on the Angrygeeks Show talking WHERE WOLF, werewolves and Q-tips. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z9Z...
Call him the CEO of Angel Studios the way Christopher Nolan is making faith-based movies.
Adapt Maria Dahvana Headley's translation of Beowulf, cowards. "Bro! Tell me we still know how to speak of kings!"
Studio execs are going to want to adapt more poems for the big screen now

Happy to say tonight’s screening was not a barf-o-rama.

Back to River Oaks...not a bad turnout for a 1979 Russian language film @robsaucedo.bsky.social thanks!
