Incredibly harsh on WHU and have a lot of sympathy for them but there’s no doubt that was a very brave decision by VAR and the referee but ultimately feels like the right one. The irony isn’t lost on me though!

There have been 1,179 long throws into the opposition box in Premier League games this season. Those have brought about just 24 goals - or one goal every 49 long throws. Matches are also being delayed for an average of 10 minutes, 42 seconds just for throw-ins to be taken.
