One of my favorite hobbies is the Better Business Bureau scam tracker, because it's either some super wild story that I would very much like to fall asleep to a documentary about or just "I spent $100 on LOVE, no further details."

Hi my name is Abigail Zuluaga. I was scammed by the owners of this business and its employee Jennifer Christine George. She brain washed me and made me believe that there was a curse on my family and that I had to have my negativity cleansed. To do this I had to give her money for candles, do rituals that involved me using an oil before bed and give her money for unknown reasons and was told to trust her, that she would pay me back. When I would "mess up" a ritual she said I had to wire her more money to protect the work. She robbed me of all of my cash in my checking and savings accounts. She also used 2 of my credit cards to their limit and made me take out a cash advance because 'money was the root of all evil' and she had to scare away the negativity that was after me. The money I gave her was supposedly going to be doubled so "I should not worry" that she had a employment waiting for me. She later became my friend, saying that I was like a sister to her, she saw me like her daughter Melanie. Then began the secret keeping, from her "husband" Micheal. Hiding where she was, making me give her rides in "emergencies" and leaving me in the dark, making me take her to an abortion clinic and made me buy her a plane ticket to Houston that I don't know if she even used. I was told United Airlines would refund me. I bought 2 phones for her because she had "anxiety" if she didn't have one, told she would pay me back. She said my cash was in her church where elders were taking care of it. I have no idea where my money went. Apparently she's "fled" to Houston TX and robbed her bosses as well. Don't be naive like I was. These people were never friends to me. They just stole my money, used me for rides, plane tickets, meals and left me in massive credit card debt at 22 years old. In total I was conned out of $16,000. My credit score is in ruin. I am $13,000 in credit card debt and am not able to make my minimum payments because I have to help my parents with the monthly housi…Romance - Unknown

I will honestly never forgive Gen Z for bringing back the "Oh my God, you're wearing THAT? That's so five minutes ago. You can't wear that anymore." shit. We had at least an entire decade of reprieve from all of that, and it was honestly glorious.

I have a running theory that the less Republicans understand about a thing they are mad at, the more nonsensical and babyish their rhetoric becomes. See: "DEI Bike Lanes," "transgender for everyone," pretty much any use of the word "woke."

There are no “legitimate concerns” about trans people. There aren’t any about women’s safety or fairness in sports or kids being kids or fucking toilets. If there were you’d have heard of them before 2018. I am a cis white woman so you have to listen to me or I’ll cry.

I just have so many questions. Mostly "Why would someone set themselves up for such a potentially awkward conversation in the future?" "I thought you had nipple piercings" "Oh no, they were pierced silicone disks I put on my boobs so you wouldn't see my nipples."

A clip from a bustle paid content post featuring pierced nipple covers. The text reads "These nipple covers deliver the sultry look of body jewelry without any long-term commitment. Crafted from self-adhesive silicone, the faux pierced nipples create a bold, attention-grabbing effect under fitted tops and dresses — a small styling detail that makes a surprisingly big impact."

So much of schools "responding to rape" is preventing the legal system from doing so. This is a report on seven adults who committed serious felonies for which there is a legal system to remind them and their pals that they are felonies.

Nothing makes me feel crazier than all of the "Remember how we all came together and got along after 9/11?" Because no, I do not. I remember a lot of people living in fear, I remember it being used as a cudgel against anyone who criticized the Bush administration, but I don't remember that shit.

These pro-AI whiners can't fathom why everyone's so hostile on Bluesky. This is a knowledge-worker bar. You couldn't go into a steelworker bar and brag about outsourcing their jobs. Why would you expect a warm welcome here? Plus, you're always bragging about ending life on earth.

I keep getting inundated with this insane cruise ship AI song/cartoon thing about how this cruise ship lady is sad because she keeps gaining weight on the cruises and all the Greek and Italian ladies do not and it turns out their big secret is oregano. I ... don't quite know what to do with that.
