sigh

Under Vincke, Larian has been pushing hard on generative AI, although the CEO says the technology hasn't led to big gains in efficiency. He says there won't be any AI-generated content in Divinity - "everything is human actors; we're writing everything ourselves" - but the creators often use AI tools to explore ideas, flesh out PowerPoint presentations, develop concept art and write placeholder text.
The use of generative Al has led to some pushback at Larian, "but I think at this point everyone at the company is more or less OK with the way we're using it," Vincke said.

NEW: I spoke to Larian boss Swen Vincke about their ambitions for their new RPG Divinity, cutting down development time, pressures from Baldur's Gate 3, why BG3 wouldn't have happened without Tencent, how Larian uses generative AI, and much more www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

A cage of your own making... [Count Strahd von Zarovich 🦇]

Bust illustration of Strahd von Zarovich, infamous Count of Barovia. He's walking on a battlefield, clad in green flames, a smug expression on his face. Strahd appears as a 40-something man, but is in fact a vampire, with pale skin and dark hair. He wear a rich vest with armor and fur.

Art Nouveau commissions ✨ #art

Harmony is a pink tiefling standing in front of two rose bushes with her old style microphone. She is wearing a long dress with large sleeves filled with roses.

The frame is decorated with more rose and floral elements, as well as stars.

Mosaic is wearing a long dress, floating elegantly as they touch fragmented stained glass. Her body is covered in coloured scales on the face, neck, and shoulders. Forearms and legs are fully scaled like the tail.

The frame features a sunset and a sunrise on the two sides, stars glimmer at the bottom.

Avalain and Curinis are together in an idyllic scenery. Avalain is sitting, resting against the tree branches as she lovingly gaze upon Curinis, who is playing the lyre. The branches of a weeping willow can be seen in the background.

The artwork is surrounded by a frame with floral elements and a star emblem.

oc | Nika One body - two souls ✨

the character is an elf named Dominika (shortly Nika). She is the reincarnation of a vampire named Camilla, the first wife of her husband Lucas. Despite the fact that Nika is already a different person with her own soul, the soul of Camilla still lives in her, which keeps memories of the past. in the art, Camilla's hands cover Nika's face, only one eye is visible. half of the eye is red, half is brown. red eyes are the color of what Camilla is in the body. Nika has bright red hair with white strands, as well as a tattoo on her chest in the form of a quadrangular star.

More on this btw. Potential way to kick it from your servers. The ID is 1153984868804468756 Remember, never believe an AI bot's claims that they won't train your stuff without permission. They will. #Discord

Discord recently partnered with a Generative AI called DomoAI and apparently they’re in every server but sneakily don't show up in the member list.

However they still use the art/images sent in the server to train their AI.

To bypass this, people have found the AI’s ID so we can ban them.
The AI has already been banned in this server, but for anyone here who has a server or is in another art/creative space, please use this advice and ban the following ID using the /ban command.

It may also be smart to start watermarking your pieces.

That land child, it will Take and Twist and Turn you into something oh so cold. [OC - Petrichor - Curse of Strahd 5e/homebrew]

A collection of three drawings in a stylised thin-line style. The main, vertical image, shows a scruffy brown haired half-elf, wearing a dark victorian style cloak, white neck scarf and a medical bag over his shoulder. He's idly wrnging his hands that bare splatters of blood on them, looking into space with a frown. Int he background, there is an insinuation of a medieval town (Vallachi) and a large full moon with bats flying past it. The bottom of this drawing shows a decorative text, set into the silloutette of the cloak spelling out "Petrichor" - the character's name. The drawing is bathed in sickly shades of green, with red accents int he lines and bloody hands.
On the left side of the page, there are two more sketches of the same character, only in lines and no color. One shows him with wet rain-soaked hair lookign over his shoulder with a sad and exhausted expression. The third sketch shows him looking up through his lashes, with head bowed and an expression that could be read a dire, or even slightly angry.
