Dr. Fauci is a hero. He really is. He helped guide America thru a mass death event. Millions more could have died but they did not, thanks to him. Everyone over 70 owes him a debt. It is disgusting that we live in a country that not only dishonors him but actively smears his good name.

A 1 year old baby is dead because of suspicion of shoplifting a pack of diapers. A. Pack. Of. Diapers. I am ashamed to be part of the same species as anyone who makes excuses for this terrible act. God damn the person who killed that child.

There is no clearer case for the necessity of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 than how quickly southern states moved to eliminate Black-majority districts and dilute Black power after SCOTUS eroded Section 2. SCOTUS’s reasoning was immediately disproven by reality.

I would respect pro-life people more if they'd hunted Elon Musk for cutting USAID and killing hundreds of thousands of children and were busy bullying every anti-vaxxer and woo-woo MAHA douchebag out of public life, not just killing doctors, burning down clinics & forcing birth on victims of rape.

The collapse of American elites is precisely why this administration has been able to do as much as it has. The first line of defense is institutional friction and noncompliance, but the institutions (w/some exceptions Congress, the courts, industry, the media) have largely abandoned the fight.

The big difference between the US and Brazilian/Korean case isn't that voters care less about democracy. It's that American elites basically did not care about it after two weeks

Fellow journalists as soon as we find out a way to financially support Georgia Fort’s legal defense fund we need to boost it as much as possible. I doubt she has the resources Lemon might have. We need to support both of them but she’s not nearly as well known as Don Lemon.

Those guys who bought like 50 guns ain't gonna do shit. Because guys who buy 50 guns are the biggest cowards ever. We've been saying it for decades and now we've been proven right. Just took the fall of america to do it.

Amazon Web Services hosts massive surveillance systems for both ICE and DHS. Citizens Bank provides nearly $1 trillion in credit & bonds to private prison companies. AT&T has a $147 million contract to provide communications services to DHS. Know who is profiting from ICE’s cruelty.

This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.

Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

Only TWO DAYS until Jack Smith testifies publicly before Congress. Americans will hear directly about the historic Jan 6 case which led to an indictment of Trump. Smith believes he'd have proven guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Whatever distractions Trump engineers, let's not get distracted from this.

There is no low too low for MAGA. Every crying child, every assaulted woman, every m*rdered mom, and every bloodied non-white person gives them joy. They are unable to create their own happiness; they must extract terror, anxiety and hopelessness from those they deem unworthy.
