I wouldn't say "take notes" is BAD advice for ttrpg players per say but I do think it's not the RIGHT advice for everyone and just bc someone doesn't take notes that doesn't mean they're a bad player to have at the table. having too many note takers can actually make the game drag, in my experience
- Enjoying rules crunch does not mean you're automatically bad at roleplay, and enjoying roleplay does not mean you're incapable of learning the rules. - if you struggle with taking notes during games, ask your GM and fellow players if it's ok if you record the game so you can take notes AFTERWARD.

me in my journal 24 hours ago: I wouldn't say I'm "in a funk" or depressed per day, I just feel *off*. me today: okay so maybe I'm in a funk. perhaps even a bit depressed. (could just be dehydrated and tired tho idk)

The ONLY thing that has made my life as a creator easier is working not towards financial gain, but working to be a TRUSTED collaborator. My incredible production team joined not to make money but because they already liked working with me. We recruit amazing casts because they believe in us.

I think this is actually a pretty dangerous myth, bc it encourages small creators to burn themselves out, work unsustainably, in hopes of reaching a magical land of ~easier~. 🧵
