Truth matters no matter how hard and lonely it is. I firmly stand on the principle of fairness, empathy and respect. A strong woman who is not afraid to speak out. Love nature and peace and quiet. I know pain in all its forms. #auspol #climate

I'm old enough to remember when Pauline Hanson was so offended at being lampooned by drag artist 'Pauline Pantsdown' that she took her application for an injunction against PP all the way to the High Court. Seems the admonishment to 'have a laugh' only goes one way.

What Peter said. So many horrific 'lessons' from #NAZA. Including how the dehumanizing of an entire people under a decades-long apartheid regime can so easily be morphed into AI-assisted genocide.

Please see the doco #NAZA. The film is a series of confronting interviews. There's no graphic war footage at all, until the last 5min. of bodies under ruins. Locations & session times: flicks.com.au/movie/naza/ #GazaGenocide #IsraeliWarCrimes #EndTheOccupation #FreePalestine

Lula challenged Bolsonaro to submit financial and phone records for judicial inquiry before the election. “I challenge you. Tomorrow, you and I open our bank accounts and telephone records so that the Brazilian people can find out who the thief is in this country.” #DebateNaBand

Brazil's, Trump backed candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro faces a corruption inquiry over R$134 million sought from jailed banker Daniel Vorcaro, who is also linked to suspected influence-peddling involving associates of election court chief Kassio Nunes Marques.

Ossoff: "Maybe you saw that Donald Trump was in Dalton yesterday, oblivious to the collapse of his presidency. A crowd smaller than this one enduring two hours of senile babbling while the price of oil hit its 5 month high"

The answer is staring this government in the face. Tax the non-taxpaying corporations, fossil fuels, billionaires including multinationals, who generate billions from Australia. If we don't, it's the people who'll pay the price. So the people must demand this. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10...

Dissecting DOJ's Letter to California Election Officials: Empty Threats of' Criminal Liability

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) sent a letter to the California Secretary of State and Los Angeles County threatening criminal penalties against the Secretary and County Registrar for their decision to tabulate ballots in compliance with state and federal law. The letter came just one day after DOJ’s lawsuit alleging a Supremacy Clause violation based on the claim that California and Los Angeles are “knowingly sending vote-by-mail ballots to likely noncitizens and ultimately counting those ballots,” purportedly in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 611, the federal law that criminalizes noncitizen voting in federal elections. The lawsuit and especially the letter’s threat of criminal liability are chilling, and all the more so because they come from the number two official at DOJ, the Acting Deputy Attorney General. He notably sent the letter a mere 17 days before Election Day, and more than two weeks after Los Angeles County began mailing ballots to registered voters. The lawsuit and letter also mark the inversion of the DOJ’s traditional and decades-old role when it comes to elections: ensuring access to ballots prior to elections, and prosecuting election crimes only after elections are certified. Indeed, DOJ’s general policy was to avoid taking...

Sad but inevitable. Whether the student movements in France end up inadvertently strengthening the “silent majority“ in favour of law and order is an open question. France’s Le pen - already leading in polls - would then be the beneficiary in next years elections. www.ft.com/content/bcb6...
