New novel, PEPPERLEAF (Thirty West, 2026), and a story collection, BELOW THE FALLS (Thirty West, 2024). Words in Literary Hub, Virginia Quarterly Review, Shenandoah, Vol.1 Brooklyn, and elsewhere. PNW.
Someone please stop me from using the adjective "sinewy" to describe, well, anything.
A family member let me know that a local library system (King County) has five copies of my new book on order, and there are already four holds! If you have a beloved local library and want to read Pepperleaf, put in a request there—it really helps small presses and authors.

It’s been two months, people! What are you waiting for? I had the opportunity to read it months ago and I’m still thinking about.
As of today, Pepperleaf has been out for two months! Seems like a decade and seems like yesterday. Been reflecting on how it’s strange that I’ll never know what 99% of the people who’ve read it actually think about it. We light a candle in the darkness and see a few more candles light up. Grateful.

360+ buckaroos are being distributed and mailed to many authors under our glorious colophon. This month alone! A great way to increase this number is to buy a book. If you can't right now, the good way is to tell people to seek out these books instead. TW <3 U either way. thirtywestph.com/shop
“And of course there is the ending, which is one of the most affecting and deftly developed landing spots I’ve read in quite some time.” - Erik Evenson Missed this incredible Goodreads review of PEPPERLEAF. www.goodreads.com/book/show/25...

Very glad to say that in my hand is the Ghost Parachute anthology, which includes my story, “Nature,” from their May 2021 issue. Grateful to be included!
